00:00One of the more interesting political transformations of the last few years has been that of Sir
00:08Keir Starmer, Labour leader in the United Kingdom, who looks all set to be the country's
00:13next Prime Minister.
00:15Now Keir Starmer's journey is interesting, simply because when he first took over as
00:19Labour leader, many described him as boring, as someone lacking charisma, leadership skills
00:25and so much more.
00:27Today, he's being seen as someone who's a steady alternative to the chaos that the Tories
00:32seem to have brought with their 13 years in power in the UK.
00:36Rishi Sunak's own ratings currently are at an all-time low, and polls have generally
00:41shown that Labour has a very steady lead over the Conservatives and looks set to win the
00:46next general election, which is due sometime in 2024.
00:50So Keir Starmer, the man, as I said, who was once described as boring, could actually be
00:54the steady hand that the UK needs.
00:57When he took over Labour, it was a party that was considered too far to the left, a party
01:02of radicals, and his first main challenge was to correct that image and to change the
01:07party's course, which he's been successfully able to do.
01:10So from the far left, he's brought it to a much more centrist position, a complete contrast
01:15to the leadership of his predecessor, Jeremy Corbyn.
01:19And if things hold the way that they do today, he looks all set to leave the UK.
