UAE doctors' life-saving efforts bring joy to Indian expat and son

Seventeen years ago, in 2006, Zeeshawn Thomas was born with multiple life-threatening birth defects.  Zeeshan had an an imperiorate anus or anorectal malformation (ARMs). 00:00We want to say thank you and we want to tell the government that we have achieved life

00:06through the government of UAE.

00:1217 years ago, Zeeshan was just a little babe and we got her as a gift from the God Almighty

00:18and we were over the ages of receiving the child into our hands but God gifted it to us

00:26and he was born with a lot of you know defects in his life like he was born with an

00:32inperforated anus where it was totally blocked and nothing could be done then it was transferred

00:40to Dubai and they did the second operation on the second day of his birth and while doing that

00:47they found out that he was a VSD and they themselves the Dubai Al-Wasil Hospital and

00:54now known as Latifa Hospital has given him the chances to go up to Mafrik and to do his VSD

01:03closure. His file was transferred to Khalifa Medical City and there he began the second term

01:12of his operation known as VSD opening and closure back again. The final one, the free medical thing

01:21was when we met Al-Wasil we had no money in our pockets we just had basically two dirhams and we

01:31told them straight we don't have any money but we can do something like give us some time we will

01:41you know pay back later the lady the social services please admit him and then we will see

01:47about it and after everything was over she just said go and collect your ID and you can leave

01:55the government has given him full free medical aid and because of the government that Zeeshan

02:05now lives 17 years and the mercy of God behind this is the greatest that we ever achieved

02:13through them be grateful to the UAE and to the three Emirates that I represent now

02:21that Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi for the goodness and kind

02:28achievement that I took from the government and I want to thank them for that.
