00:00So my name is Bushra Al-Ghloushi, I'm the Head of Research and Innovation in Dubai Electronic
00:10Security Centre. I'm also the Chairwoman of the Digital Skills Committee within Dubai
00:16Digital Authority. I'm the only Arab member in the World Economic Forum Global Future
00:22Council on Cyber Security, which is usually by invitation. So the World Economic Forum,
00:29they invite the top experts in cyber security to join such councils. Actually I started
00:35with the leading Dubai cyber security strategy that was launched by His Highness back in
00:392017. I'm now supporting the team who are leading the strategy with the strategy initiatives
00:45and putting the right, let's say, objectives and monitoring that those objectives and goals
00:50are being achieved between the different government entities, private sector, academia, just to
00:55make sure that whatever objectives that we set in 2017 are being met in 2022 because
01:03the cycle of the strategy was five years and now we are preparing for the next release
01:07of the strategy, inshallah. I have two patents. One I registered while I was doing my PhD.
01:13It was about memory management. It was registered and published in the US Patent Office. The
01:18second one is about cloud security. So it's a new mechanism on how we can secure the cryptographic
01:27keys in the cloud and how we can process the data in a way that nobody can understand it.
01:35Only the sender and the receiver can understand such data. I think if that patent is implemented,
01:41that will solve lots of challenges that we have about data privacy today. I hope that
01:45my patent can be implemented, can be used by the community and can add an impact and
01:54add a value to our country first and then also add a value globally to other countries
02:03and other communities around us. Not say that I'm, let's say, the best mother maybe, but
02:10I'm trying to do the balance between my family work roles and what I have as responsibilities
02:17and as roles in my work. I'm always saying if you have a passion, don't put barriers
02:24in front of that passion. We can always achieve what we want to achieve. Our leadership from
02:30His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, they
02:34are always encouraging Emirati women to achieve and to reach to the highest positions. So
02:42we should meet that, let's say, objective that they are putting for us. We should achieve
02:49what they are expecting from our side. I think this country gave us a lot. What we are doing,
02:55I hope that it is sort of half of a return back to our country.
