00:00I'm here at the manor house today with Premier Inn. We've got an exhibition on of their proposed
00:04redevelopment of the old supermarket site in the town centre. It's great news for the town.
00:09I think it's going to get a lot of support. It's certainly buzzing on social media. We hope it can
00:15add a lot of redevelopment and repurpose the town with bringing more businesses into the town and
00:24hopefully when you take into account the seafront regeneration project and the
00:28limits to bypass that's soon to open and we've also got our community hub project going on the
00:34town centre hopefully this year as well. There's a lot of things coming together and obviously the
00:38Premier Inn redevelopment could be you know the pinnacle of that. And what positives really can
00:43this bring to Little Hampton? Well it's going to add a lot of bed space into the town and I've
00:47already got local businesses coming up to me and proposing new events and ideas about weekends. I
00:53it just gives people a lot of optimism and that's really nice to see and you know we hope we can
00:59extend the kind of art and craft movement that have taken over one corner of the town.
01:05That's one proposal that I've already heard about art and craft markets perhaps and obviously with
01:10the seafront regeneration the Premier Inn will provide much needed bed space for anybody who
01:16comes to make use of those facilities. And what would you say to people about the consultations
01:20come and see what's being proposed and obviously have their say and how important is it that they
01:23need their feedback? It's very important I mean as a town councillor you know I'm more than keen
01:28and happy to hear the views of my constituents all the time but there's an opportunity to go
01:34online if you can't make it here today and you know tell Premier Inn what you think of their proposals.
