00:07Now we have enough time to do this,
00:09so let's take advantage of this free time,
00:11sitting at home, and do something productive.
00:14Innovative, and you know,
00:16something that maybe gets us out of our comfort zone.
00:20So, why don't you join me?
00:22I'm Chef Andrea Karides, and this here is Georgia Maria,
00:25and I'm going to show you a great recipe,
00:27a Greek recipe, that you can enjoy with your family,
00:30and even your baby.
00:31So, what we're going to do is show everybody
00:33what the vegetables are, okay, GM?
00:35So, in a traditional briyan,
00:37it's actually usually eggplant,
00:39you're going to have zucchinis,
00:41and you're going to have potatoes.
00:43And they use a lot of this in Greece.
00:45So, good!
00:46So, what do we have here?
00:47We've got a carrot, and we have some tomatoes,
00:50we have sweet potato,
00:52we have a yellow pepper,
00:54we're using onions, of course,
00:56and definitely, always in Greek cuisine,
00:58we're using garlic.
00:59So, first, we're going to start with the briyan,
01:01we're going to have some really nice, big, juicy tomatoes.
01:04So, the important thing, too,
01:05is to cut all your vegetables the same size,
01:07so that everything is going to cook evenly.
01:21So, the potatoes, get some nice, juicy ones.
01:23Again, guys, let's make it really, really easy.
01:25Just keep the skin on,
01:26there's no need to peel the potatoes.
01:28Just as long as you scrape them,
01:29and you keep it nice and clean,
01:31there's no issue there.
01:38Next, we're going to do some zucchinis.
01:41So, zucchini, same thing.
01:43So, now, guys, I never really told you
01:45about how much, how many potatoes,
01:47how many tomatoes, how many eggplants.
01:49It really doesn't matter.
01:50In Greek cuisine, you're never going to
01:52actually meet someone
01:53who's going to give you the exact recipe.
02:10We're going to put the onions on top as well.
02:12These are the additional ones.
02:13So, you have some yellow pepper, red peppers,
02:16carrots, sweet potato,
02:17you can add whatever you like.
02:19So, if you guys love carrots more,
02:21add more carrots.
02:22If you want to use sweet potato,
02:23use more sweet potato instead of regular potato.
02:25There's no exact recipe.
02:27So, don't worry about it.
02:28You can't screw it up,
02:29which is kind of the best thing about this recipe.
02:44I do add a little bit of pepper right now,
02:47which is okay.
02:49Just to flavor it up a little bit.
02:52And, of course, I'm using Greek olive oil.
02:56So, we're going to put quite a dash of this.
03:00Also, the ingredients, we add some oregano.
03:04Again, this comes from Greece.
03:07A really nice Greek oregano.
03:09You can smell.
03:10I wish you guys could smell,
03:11but it's absolutely the best.
03:13And don't use...
03:15If you find in the grocery store
03:16you have, like, fresh oregano,
03:17it just doesn't work the same.
03:18You have to have the dry stuff, okay?
03:20So, remember that, please.
03:22The only thing that we do use for fresh
03:24is we are going to use some fresh parsley.
03:27So, again, just cut it off,
03:28whatever you're having there.
03:30You don't need to chop this up.
03:32Just use your hands.
03:33Sprinkle it around.
03:35Doesn't need to be pretty.
03:37So, guys, secret ingredient, cinnamon.
03:40So, what I do, put cinnamon.
03:43Delicious.
03:44Let's mix it all up.
03:49So, now we're going to set it in the oven.
03:52We're going to put it in there for about,
03:54depending on your oven,
03:55so it should be about 45 minutes,
03:57maybe to one hour.
03:59Depends. Maybe you want it crispier.
04:01Maybe you want them a little bit less smooshy.
04:04What I would do is I'd probably put it
04:05about an hour, an hour and five, ten minutes,
04:08just so they're a little bit more soft,
04:09because then when I'm making the baby food for GM,
04:12I can just take all his ingredients
04:14and just pop them in and just a little bit more mushy.
04:16Oh, I wish that you guys could smell
04:19what's going on over here.
04:20It's amazing.
04:21I'm telling you, that cinnamon really makes a difference.
04:31Check out these vegetables.
04:35The smell is amazing.
04:41A little bit hot, but it tastes so good.
04:44And of course, it does need a little bit of salt,
04:46but again, wait if you're going to be pureeing it.
04:48So, now I'm going to take some of these vegetables for GM,
04:51because she's going to have dinner with us as well.
04:54So, all I'm going to do is actually use Nutribullet.
04:56You don't need anything fancy.
04:58You don't need to buy Baby Bullet
04:59or any of these kind of things.
05:00So, whatever you have at home,
05:02that's the best thing to use.
05:03Put whatever vegetables you like.
05:05We mix it all together,
05:06and then you have dinner for GM and me.

05:17I'm going to show you a quick workout
05:18that you can try at home.
05:19So, we're going to do five quick bodyweight workouts.
05:23The workouts are going to be squats,
05:26one-two press,
05:27in and out abs,
05:28leg raises,
05:29and back elbow.
05:30We're going to work out the entire body
05:32with no equipment needed,
05:34just the floor,
05:35just a small space.
05:36It's going to take us 15 minutes to do it.
05:39The challenge is to work out
05:42for 20 seconds for each exercise
05:44and rest 10 seconds in between.
05:46We finish one round.
05:47We rest one minute.
05:48We're going to do this for three to five rounds,
05:51depending if you are a female or a male
05:53or your fitness level as well.
05:55Okay, we're going to start right now.
06:01Okay, squats.
06:03First, I need your legs shoulder-width apart.
06:07Okay.
06:08Shoulder-width apart.
06:09Okay.
06:10Bend.
06:11Make sure the back is straight.
06:14Hands up to the front.
06:1520 seconds.
06:16Okay, this is how it looks like on the side.
06:20So, squats.
06:2120 seconds,
06:22and then 10 seconds rest.
06:30We change to the next exercise,
06:31which is one-two press.
06:33One-two press is a mixture of two exercises at one.
06:37So, it's a press-up,
06:39which is a push-up.
06:41Hands again.
06:42Back straight.
06:44We're going to do one push-up
06:46and then a mountain climber.
06:49Okay.
07:04Third exercise is in-and-out abs.
07:07It's going to be basically in a push-up position.
07:11We're going to jump with our legs close to our hands
07:15and then jump out.
07:17This is in-and-out.
07:1820 seconds working
07:20and then 10 seconds rest.
07:31Fourth exercise is leg raises.
07:33We're going to work out the lower abs.
07:35So, you basically just lay down,
07:38hands under your glutes.
07:42Back straight.
07:43You're going to lift the legs
07:45and lower it without touching the floor.

07:57Fifth workout is going to be for the back,
08:00for the upper back.
08:01It's going to be back elbow raises.
08:04Same position.
