00:00The Commission on Elections officials prioritized the inspection and verification of the printed balotas that will be used in the election of 2025.

00:14Let's follow Sandra Aguinaldo's on-the-spot report.

00:22Rafi, Comelec showed the extension of their verification area here in the Amoranto Sports Complex.

00:30According to Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia, 27 million balotas are being printed but only 3 to 4 million balotas are verified.

00:42This means that even if the printing is fast, the speed of verification is not the same.

00:48Manual and machine verification is done.

00:51The balota is tested manually by a verifier and then it is passed to the machine several times.

00:58Sometimes, it is passed to the machine but not to the eyes of the verifier.

01:04Even if it is a piece of dirt or a smudge of ink on the balota, it is not passed to the manual verification.

01:11Comelec added more than 200 verifiers and they are the ones in Amoranto.

01:17There are also verifiers in the National Printing Office and they are there day and night shift.

01:23Comelec said that they can still reach their April 14 deadline.

01:27Rafi, regarding the syndicates that are allocating sure wins to politicians who are willing to pay millions,

01:35Comelec said that they are already negotiating with the NBI regarding this.

01:40There is also a former Comelec employee who has not been in Comelec for 17 years and is being investigated now.
