00:00Regarding the federalism proposed by our president, Duterte, I think it's a good option.
00:09Some provinces or more provinces will be having a good voice, a good strategy,
00:14so I think it's good to have some changes in our country.
00:21My stand about federalism is I support it because I believe that with it,
00:27the respective provinces will have their own better control of their economy.
00:32It will lead to a good development of the respective countryside
00:37because each provinces will try to use their resources for the improvement of their state.
00:47Another benefit also of federalism that I foresee is it will decongest Manila
00:55because some of the industries will be then located at other provinces
00:59and it will lead to a rapid improvement of the economic prosperity of each provinces.
01:07So that's why I support it.
01:09Yes, I'm in favor of federalism.
01:13Since I'm here in UAE for a very long time, for 20 years,
01:20I've seen the UAE as a federal government and I've seen how successful it is.
01:25So that's the reason why I'm in favor of federalism for the Philippines.
01:32I support federalism because I know that it will boost our economy in Cagayan Valley and in the region too.
01:46I don't believe that it will divide the country in an independent state
01:52and it will boost the economy within the provinces only outside Manila.
02:00That's why I support federalism.
02:02Well, I hope I could answer yes and a no, but at the moment,
02:05I have really to go into the literature and be knowledgeable about federalism.
02:12I cannot say no, I cannot say yes, because I'm totally ignorant at the moment.
02:16I'm in favor of federalism, especially in the provinces,
02:22so that they can have economic and business opportunity.
02:28One example is, like here in the UAE, each state has its own free zone.
02:36We can also do this in the Philippines,
02:38that each province has its own free zone.
