00:18Sika Art Fair is an initiative by Dubai Culture offering emerging artists from the UAE and
00:23GCC region the opportunity to showcase their talent in a vibrant 10-day program featuring
00:28exciting exhibitions, art installations, workshops, film and music.
00:33This year 60 artists participated and 17 of them are Emirati artists.
00:38We had a lot of good responses here from visitors to this amazing event.
00:45We have multicultural people came to this event.
00:49We're excited to see artists and kids playing and having workshops in Sika where we had
00:5566 workshops for kids and adults.
00:58I think the government provides more than ample opportunities for all the artists.
01:02The opportunities are literally everywhere so just go and go for it.
01:07I think it's very exciting.
01:08This year I've seen so many people interested in art.
01:12It's so nice to see people ask questions, engaged, walk around.
01:17The contemporary artist-led fair complements the citywide activation of cultural events
01:22during the 5th edition of Dubai Art Season which runs throughout March and April.
01:27In support of Year of Zayed and in honor of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nayan, the
01:31founding father of the UAE, Sika represents an ideal platform for upholding the tolerance
01:37and co-existence he advocated through the arts.
