Bengaluru’s Traffic Woes: Commuters Stuck for Hours as HSR Layout Flyover Closure Triggers Chaos

Bengaluru’s infamous traffic congestion worsened on Wednesday after the HSR Layout flyover was shut down for metro construction, leaving thousands of commuters stranded in bumper-to-bumper traffic. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) closed the flyover due to an issue with a sliding girder at 14th Main, causing massive gridlock across key routes.

Despite Bengaluru Traffic Police issuing an advisory rerouting vehicles via 19th Main, commuters fumed over poor planning, lack of alternative routes, and prolonged delays. Social media erupted with frustrated users slamming authorities for failing to address the city’s worsening traffic crisis.
