00:00It's so good to see you. I feel like I've been asking you about the Wings for the last five years.
00:04Like every day?
00:06Yes, every day.
00:07Every single day?
00:08You don't always answer.
00:09No, I mean when someone, yeah, when you send 1,500 plus questions, the same question, at some point I have to mute it.
00:17Over and over and over. I love that the Top Gun Maverick cast has turned out tonight.
00:22I'm very excited about that.
00:23Are you guys?
00:24Yeah, these are people that I love.
00:27Do you guys have a crew name that you have for yourself?
00:30We have different crew names within different parts of it.
00:32I'm not going to say what the whole gang's name is on our group text.
00:37It's a little chaotic, but we feel good about it.
00:40But yeah, it's family.
00:42Well, it's been a few years since we've seen Joaquin, so how has your relationship with him evolved since we've last seen him?
00:48I think it's been such an honor to, actually no, privilege more than anything, to be able to sit with a character that has all this potential energy.
00:58I got the call that I was wearing the wings years ago.
01:01And to be able to sit on that and know that this is where my journey leads to, I think I was able to lean and arc and try to play in the opposite direction.
01:09So by the time that I do have this responsibility, I think it adds this beautiful tension to the film and to the character himself.
01:16So I think being able to sit on a character for longer times, I think, is only a benefit.
01:23Thanks so much. Good to see you.
01:24I put him on. I finally get to tell you.
01:26Finally!
01:27I put him on!
01:28I'm so happy!
