00:12In a major shake-up of traffic movement around Jumeirah, the Roads and Transport Authority
00:17has revealed that Al-Wasl Road and Jumeirah Road will soon be one way.
00:22As part of the Traffic Improvement Plan, the RTA said traffic on Al-Wasl and Jumeirah Roads
00:27will move in a single direction, with each road having four lanes moving clockwise. The
00:33time frame for implementing the move has not been specified yet.
00:37A bomb targeting a police checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan has killed 11 people. Another 17 people
00:44were wounded in the blast, which took place on the outskirts of Peshawar on a road leading
00:49to neighbouring Afghanistan.
00:51The dead include police, civilians and at least one child. The attack appears to have
00:56been carried out by a suicide bomber who struck as a local police chief arrived at
01:01the checkpoint. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
