00:08Here are the top stories at this hour.
00:12French police have identified the first of seven gunmen who killed at least 129 people
00:18in a wave of carnage claimed by Daesh, as international investigators stepped up their
00:23probe into Paris' worst ever attacks.
00:27French authorities named the first attacker as 29-year-old Omar Ismail Mostafa, who was
00:33identified from a severed finger found at Bataclan concert hall.
00:38The investigation widened across Europe, with Belgian police arresting several suspects
00:43and German authorities probing a possible link to a man recently found with a car of
00:49explosives.
00:50Meanwhile, world diplomats have agreed on a path to Syrian elections in 18 months at
00:56talks in Vienna, driven by a fresh sense of urgency after the Paris attacks.
01:01A final statement after the meeting said that the goal was to bring Syrian government and
01:06opposition representatives together by January 1.
01:10But the crux issue of the role of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad remained unsolved.
01:16The Euro 2016 finals in France should not be cancelled even though the risk levels have
01:22gone up, the head of the organising committee said following the attacks in Paris.
01:27�We will make the decisions we need to make so that the Euro finals can be held in the
01:32best security conditions,� Euro 2016 chief Jacques Lambert told a French radio station.
01:40The Foo Fighters' Natalie Portman, U2 and other entertainers have cancelled events in
01:46Paris following the attacks.
01:49Film distributor Mars said it had cancelled promotional appearances for the film Jane
01:54Got A Gun, starring Portman.
01:56The Oscar-winning actress was scheduled to appear at the film's premiere and junket interviews
02:01on Monday in Paris.
02:04A photo call for the film Bridge of Spies, where Steven Spielberg, Mart Rylance and Amy
02:10Ryan were scheduled to appear, was also cancelled by 20th Century Fox.
02:15And finally, the weather.
02:16Today's high across the UAE will be 31 degrees Celsius dropping to 22 degrees at night.
