00:20The report released by the UN Conference on Trade and Development points to the eight
00:25years of economic blockade of Gaza, as well as the three wars and Israeli assaults on
00:30Gaza in the past six years.
00:33Last year's war displaced half a million people and left massive parts of Gaza destroyed.
00:40Normal life was affected in various parts of the country, including the Indian states
00:44of West Bengal and Kerala, as ten central trade unions went on a day-long nationwide
00:50strike to protest against changes in labor laws and privatization of public sector units.
00:57Trade union leaders claimed that around 150 million formal sector workers are on strike
01:03in support of their 12-point Charter of Demands.
01:06The day-long strike was seen affecting transport and banking operations, among other services.
