Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has insisted there "is a future for British steel" and that the government is "committed to supporting the steel industry". It comes as US President Donald Trump announced 25% tariffs on foreign steel and aluminium imports which will increase the costs of importing the metals into the US.
