00:29The manager of 47 stations is calling on their drivers to give the signal to open the doors of the longest metro line in the world.
01:29Since the start of the first rapid train at 5.30 a.m.
01:47There are staff members of the entire work team inside the stations
01:52working to ensure the smooth operation of each and every metro train.
02:17The stations of the Dubai Metro are distinguished by their exceptional designs and decorations
02:43that combine the modern artistic design with the cultural heritage of Dubai.
02:51The stations are decorated with gold,
02:56which is a symbol of the history of the old city of Dubai.
03:43As is the era of Dubai with all its projects,
04:05the Dubai Metro is not only the longest metro line in the world,
04:12but its government has also announced that the metro project will be completed in a short time.
04:28The project has been commissioned by Sastra Parsons to be the main consultant
04:41at the time when the Dubai Rapid Link Company was commissioned to build the metro line and complete the project.
04:49A project of this size requires specialized skills in managing a large number of essential workers
04:59to run a safe and smooth operation of the Dubai Metro.
05:03Circo has taken on the task of training more than 3,000 workers
05:08and preparing them with the necessary safety, security and technical skills
05:14to run a metro line at this global level.
05:19The Dubai Metro is one of the ideas of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed.
05:25It is one of the strategic projects in the Middle East in the field of infrastructure.
05:36This success would not have been possible without the strategic idea of Sheikh Mohammed
05:44in establishing a strong and solid infrastructure,
05:50because the infrastructure is the economic engine of any city.
06:00After 49 months and the participation of 300 companies from all over the world
06:07and more than 4,000 workers from 50 different nationalities,
06:12the Dubai Metro has come as a solid proof of the affirmation and embodiment of the slogan of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
06:22the Deputy Prime Minister, the President of the Council of Ministers and the Governor of Dubai,
06:27that nothing is impossible.
06:38Dubai Metro
06:43What a journey of creativity and design reflected in all its stations and distances,
06:49the uniqueness of Dubai and its unique positions.
06:54Dubai Metro
07:06At nine o'clock, the ninth minute, the ninth second,
07:11the evening of the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year after 2000,
07:17His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum officially inaugurated the Dubai Metro
07:23after only 42 months since His Highness laid the foundation stone for the project on March 21, 2006.
07:34His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
07:38I would like to thank all the workers who worked on this great project
07:44and their achievements at the right time.
07:48Honestly, everyone who worked on this project,
07:54all the engineers and experts from all over the world,
07:58I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart.
08:03They worked as one team with the local engineers.
08:07Without this great effort, we would not have reached this level.
08:12They did their duty at the same time as they gave it to us.
08:18Dubai Metro
08:25Today, in 2014, the Dubai Metro celebrates its fifth anniversary.
08:37At seven o'clock every morning,
08:42a large number of trains pass through the main lines of the Metro,
08:47carrying thousands of passengers through the Metro cars,
08:52all on their way to different destinations behind the doors of the quiet Metro,
08:58unaware of the level of activity, movement and continuous work that is far from their eyes.
09:13Dubai Metro
09:33A group of experts at the Control Center for Operations in Al Rashidiyah
09:38control the entire line of the train, which is 75 kilometers long.
09:53At the same time, through the stations of the Metro,
09:57the directors of the stations and members of the working team monitor the station activities.
10:04Starting with the expectation of the different passengers' requirements,
10:08which limits the confidence of the workers to be fully prepared
10:14to provide them with the necessary information and immediate response to various emergencies.
10:21Dubai Metro provides the highest quality standards,
10:25which guarantee the satisfaction and happiness of the passengers.
10:29Al Rashidiyah
10:32I would like to thank His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
10:42Deputy Prime Minister of the State,
10:45President of the Ministry of Dubai,
10:47for his continuous support and generous care for all stages of the project,
10:56starting with the study and design phase to the actual operation,
11:06and then the opening in 2009.
11:12Of course, without his continuous support,
11:19we would not have been able to achieve these outstanding results
11:25to run this strategic project.
11:34The performance of each station is monitored and controlled
11:37by a number of electronic control and operation systems
11:42under the supervision of the station manager,
11:44in cooperation with the Control Center for Operations in Al Rashidiyah.
12:01In celebration of the 5th Anniversary of Dubai Metro,
12:04the Roads and Transportation Authority issued a special design card
12:09that reflects the spirit of celebration
12:12to give the Metro passengers the ease and flexibility of movement
12:18between the various means of transportation.
12:30The Dubai Metro is a cornerstone in Dubai's vision
12:35aiming at a comprehensive transportation policy,
12:39as it is an integral part of other means of transportation
12:44that are available throughout the city and are interconnected.
12:59The Dubai Metro has succeeded in changing the map of the city,
13:03as it has reduced the traffic jams in its streets,
13:07reduced the time of movement and pollution to an equal extent,
13:11and added a new sense of freedom of movement
13:16to a large number of Dubai residents,
13:19so that those places that were difficult to reach in the past
13:24are now close to being accessible, in a comfortable and comfortable atmosphere,
13:28far from the overcrowding on the roads.
13:371.30 PM
13:43It is now 1.30 PM.
13:46It is time to change the work team.
13:51The new team takes on the task of monitoring and supervising the station.
14:01The idea of creating a Metro without a driver
14:04was criticized when it was put forward at the beginning of the matter,
14:09as it removed the possibility that Dubai residents would leave their cars,
14:14preferring to use public transportation.
14:18However, the past five years have not only proved the error of criticism,
14:23but the access to the metro stations has exceeded all expectations.
14:351.30 PM
14:47I would like to thank all the users of the Dubai Metro,
14:53because they made the Dubai Metro their first choice
15:00to move to Dubai.
15:03I would also like to thank them for their attention
15:09and for preserving this important station.
15:14I would also like to thank everyone who contributed
15:19to the preservation of these stations in general.
15:23The Dubai Metro is an integral part of the vision
15:27of the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for Dubai,
15:32and a guarantee for the continuation of the city of Dubai
15:36in the preservation and maintenance of a sustainable environment
15:40and a quality of life embodied in its infrastructure,
15:45which provides and supports distinctive public transportation.
15:571.30 PM

16:29and to more than 455 million passengers in July 2014,
16:37since its opening in 2009.
16:43In 2009, the red line of the Dubai Metro started operating
16:48with only 10 stations,
16:51and now it has 29 stations along Sheikh Zayed Road.
16:57While the green line started in 2011,
17:03it opened 16 stations,
17:06and now it has 18 stations in 2014,
17:11to serve the center of the city,
17:14and more than 450,000 passengers pass through the two lines daily.
17:23The Dubai Metro contributed to the economic activity of the Emirate,
17:30and also strengthened tourism activities.
17:34Also, the metro played a major role
17:39as part of the strong infrastructure of the Emirate,
17:42which also helped in hosting the Expo 2020.
17:48No doubt that the victory of Dubai at the Expo 2020
17:51will lead to the increase of the urban areas of Dubai,
17:55which are expected to host a large number of visitors.
17:59Therefore, 10 to 15 kilometers will be added to the red line,
18:05including the construction of a station at the Expo Center.
18:09Also, 20.6 kilometers will be added,
18:14including 11 new stations along the green line.
19:00Dubai Metro
19:16After the end of its daily journey,
19:19which was timed to meet the needs of passengers
19:23and the hours of work of commercial centers and entertainment facilities,
19:28the Dubai Metro trains, which have a number of 79 trains,
19:34are heading from the main line through the exchange stations
19:38towards the metro platform.
19:44However, the service of the metro does not end every day
19:47with the closing of the doors of the stations.
19:50The hours of the night have witnessed the accomplishment
19:53of the largest part of the engineering and maintenance work,
19:58where a large number of specialists are working
20:01to discover and fix all the issues that need to be addressed,
20:07starting from the inspection of the train tracks
20:10to the cleaning and maintenance of the metro cars.
20:15Dubai Metro

21:00Once again, half an hour before the first train departs,
21:05a new journey begins with a new day.
21:10The doors of the stations are opened to the passengers of this day,
21:14and the entire team of workers inside the stations
21:18ensures the safety and readiness of all the facilities
21:23that belong to the stations,
21:25as they have been doing every day for the past five years.
21:33And because they are contributing to the operation of the metro system,
21:37their efforts play an important role
21:40in the system of roads and international transport for the metro,
21:45a part that has not been shared for five years.
