00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Cambodia
00:06and promoting regional stability during a meeting at Malacca Young on Tuesday.
00:10During the bilateral meeting, the two leaders signed eight agreements
00:14covering agriculture, digital transformation, workforce development, tourism, investment, fair trade,
00:20avoidance of double taxation, and the prevention of illegal trafficking of cultural properties.
00:26President Marcos also thanked Cambodia for granting a royal pardon
00:30to 13 Filipino women convicted of illegal surrogacy.
00:34This year marks the fourth meeting of the Philippine-Cambodia Defense Cooperation Committee,
00:39which aims to strengthen military collaboration,
00:42particularly in humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
00:48We can maximize our existing cooperation on diverse fields of mutual interest
00:53and explore new ways to collaborate while leveraging our growing economies,
00:58the dynamism of our people, and our unyielding commitment to regional peace and stability.
