00:00On Monday the 10th of February 2025, the Michelin Guide hosted its first Scottish Awards ceremony
00:05in Kelvin Grove Art Gallery and Museum, marking a historic day for Glaswegian food and drink.
00:09Celebrating the best of the UK and Ireland's hospitality sector, a number of restaurants
00:14were recognised for consistently delivering to a high standard, their exceptional food service,
00:19distinct flavours, sourcing top quality ingredients and creating ambiance.
00:2322 venues were awarded their first Michelin star at this year's ceremony,
00:27including the first plant-based restaurant and Greek restaurant,
00:30Well Cardiff received the first of its accolades.
00:33Three restaurants received their second Michelin star,
00:35and the Edinburgh restaurant Moorhall was awarded its third.
00:38Five new premises were also given green stars to mark their astounding commitment
00:42to a sustainable approach to gastronomy.
00:4436 restaurants were also given the Bib Gurman distinction,
00:48a way of recognising establishments that offer good quality food at a good price point.
00:52Oma in London was awarded Opening of the Year,
00:55and Adam Bryant from the Trinity in London was awarded Chef of the Year.
