00:00Being here for the eighth time, I think it should make Dubai know that if there's one
00:09place I don't mind visiting again and again, it would be Dubai.
00:12What keeps me going and what keeps me grounded is the fact that there is a calling to, and
00:16I think I speak on behalf of all artists, whether Filipino artists or even international
00:21artists, when I say that there is a calling.
00:24Maybe it might not be realized right away, but there is a calling to what an artist is
00:31meant to do and to give to his audience, a responsibility that we have to live up to.
00:36An ordinary day for me would be, it used to be, waking up in the morning, saying…
00:41Wearing spandex.
00:42That's not true.
00:43No, it used to be me getting up in the morning, going into their rooms and saying hi and all,
00:49but none of them are in the house anymore.
00:51So with regard to it being an ordinary day, I'd have to say that an ordinary day would
00:57be just getting up, spending time, a little prayer here, a little prayer there, working
01:03on my music, then reaching out to my children through text, finding out what they're doing,
01:10and then if we can get together for an evening, like dinner, that's what we do, together
01:15with their mom.
01:16He's not the guy that people have come to know.
01:20He's the same on and off camera, the way he speaks, the way he verses, but my dad is
01:25kind of a clown.
01:28He's not so serious.
01:30Yeah, right.
01:31He's not very serious.
01:32Here we go, folks.
01:33In public, you can see Gary V as Gary V. At home, he's Gary V.
01:40That's not true.
01:41Crazy.
01:42It's true.
01:43Okay, that's true, I guess.
01:45I like laughing a lot.
01:47I like seeing my kids laugh, and I like to laugh because of them.
01:51So when we come together, really, it's something that the videos will probably never really
01:55get to see, but we'll tell you about it, but you'll never get to see.
01:58One day when my dad's older, we'll release the videos, but he can't do anything about
02:02it.
02:03Well, yeah, he looks at me and he goes, politics.
02:05No, politics is not going to be a part of my life, no, I don't think so, but I do have
02:11ideas, and I've mentioned this even to them before, but I do have ideas that are geared
02:16toward the youth.
02:17They have a sister, Kiana, who's 19, and there is a stark difference between what Paolo used
02:22to listen to and what Paolo used to do when he was 19 as compared to Gab when he was 19
02:26and as to what Kiana is doing now at 19.
02:29So many of the ideas I have may not be meant for me to execute, but it just may be meant
02:34for me to present and for other younger people to execute.
02:39I just want to be a part of that.
02:40I just want to be a part of the molding process of what I believe the youth can really be
02:45in a society that says, you be whiter, you'll be better.
02:48You be thinner, you'll be better, but what if you can't get any whiter?
02:51What if you can't get any thinner?
02:52It doesn't mean that you can't be any better than what you are now, and that's the kind
02:56of role that I hope to play in the near future, either through music, through movies, videos,
03:01or through the internet.
03:02The avenues and the possibilities are endless.
