00:10An Indian express train plowed into a crowd of pilgrims in the country's east today,
00:15killing 35 pilgrims and triggering a riot as angry crowds went on the rampage. The pilgrims
00:21were crossing the tracks at a station in Bihar when the interstate passenger train ran into
00:26them, a senior police officer said.
00:28At least 36 Islamist prisoners have died in Egypt during an apparent attempt to escape
00:33during their transfer to a prison outside Cairo. The Interior Ministry said they were
00:38attacked by unidentified gunmen, but the Muslim Brotherhood described the incident as cold-blooded
00:43killing. European Union ambassadors are meanwhile due to meet to discuss the crisis in Egypt
00:49in which at least 830 people have died since Wednesday.
00:53South African Paralympian Oscar Pistorius arrived in court today, where he is expected
