00:51The SCORE Chorus came together in an interesting way. It is a brand new classical concert series
00:57called The SCORE that has launched itself in Dubai during this year, and one of the
01:04concerts hosted the Swingle Singers, who workshopped intensively with the choral scene in the UAE,
01:12and also together with them, The SCORE ran a Choir of the Year competition. This meant
01:17that for the very, very first time, choirs from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, were all under
01:22the same roof, in the same room. It was an absolutely electric evening, with each choir
01:29delivering their own special flavour and style, and culminated in the award-winning choir,
01:36who is Dubai Vocal Ensemble, who received a spontaneous standing ovation from all of
01:41the choirs that were present in the room.
01:47It is amazing to be working with, arguably, the best singers in Dubai. These guys are
01:52amazing. They've picked up this music very, very fast. The sound they're making is stupendous.
