tabloid! speaks to the French composer about music, Dubai and his commitment to education.
Transcript
00:00I'm in the recording process, actually I escaped from the recording studio to come to Dubai
00:15and hopefully I think it's going to be released for fall, for September, October and I'm working
00:23on two different projects, album projects and then a tour in 2014 and some other side
00:32projects also, soundtracks and different things, but the next album is my priority as a composer
00:38at the moment.
00:43I think that the next challenge for human beings and for mankind should be education.
00:49Education and culture are like the Amazonian forest, they are in danger if we are not paying
00:58enough attention and I think that we should really convey this message and obviously artists
01:04and people who have maybe a kind of impact for what they're doing vis-à-vis a wider
01:13audience in my opinion should convey this message, I mean education is the absolute
01:21priority for the future.
01:25I think Dubai is a great place, one of the most extraordinary places of the 21st century
01:32and symbolising the future of technology, the future of environment in a sense, architecture.
01:40Somehow at the beginning of the 21st century we lost that vision of the future and behind
01:47us and in a sense I think Dubai is recreating this dream for the future.
01:56If there is one place to stage such an event, it's in my opinion, I wouldn't say no more
02:03in Europe or in the States but it's Dubai, I mean Middle East and Asia are really the
02:12right place and Dubai is probably one of the ideal places to stage such a project, a big
02:19concert at the biggest scale, the biggest possible scale, I mean if not Dubai, where else?
