00:00Goddess is a romantic comedy which is going to be coming out of Cannes next year and I
00:07play the husband of this lady who, I buy her a webcam because I'm travelling to the Antarctic,
00:13I'm a marine biologist and we don't speak on the webcam so she starts to sing down the
00:17webcam in her kitchen.
00:19So she becomes a big star around the world, women love her and she travels off and I have
00:24to come home and mind the children but she leaves the webcam on so they see me burning
00:28the house down practically trying to run around after the children and become a real
00:33dad and it's very funny.
00:34Twenty years ago we started Boyzone and it's been a rollercoaster ever since, it's been
00:38crazy.
00:39We parted ways in 1999 at the end and came back together five years ago and we've had
00:43a rocky road, you know Stephen passed away two years ago and that was very tough.
00:47I've had a solo career, I've been lucky enough to have a solo career and it's been very fruitful
00:52for me.
00:53I'm making a new solo album at the moment so I'll continue to make records and I'm passionate
00:57about it and Boyzone maybe, we'll be 20 years together in 2013 so I think we'll have an
01:02anniversary album then.
01:04Last century with progress, so no there's still a life for boy bands, you just have
01:10to evolve, you have to change, become something new.
01:14The word boy band is a very thin kind of line, I mean you can evolve into other things.
01:19I've had kind of three years of a break from making a studio album, I did an album with
01:24Burt Bacharach and I did an album with an orchestra, Winter Songs and so on, so I took
01:29a break from actually studio recordings, new songs but now I'm ready to make a new album
01:34so it's kind of been a bit of a strange time for me the last three years but now I'm ready
01:38to make a record, I'm ready in my head and my heart.
01:40It's a brand new studio album, it'll be ten new songs and I'm kind of working on a kind
01:45of a folk feel at the moment, it's quite folky but that can change, but it's got a folk feel
01:49at the moment which I like, storyteller kind of folk feel.
01:52A day in my life at the moment, well I've just been in Australia for three months on
01:55X Factor so I just got back and it's been at home with my children as much as I can,
02:00my wife and kids in Dublin and a very, very average day, very normal, school runs and
02:06grocery store and feed the dogs and walk the dogs.
