00:00The Philadelphia Eagles soared to their second Super Bowl victory in franchise history on
00:05Sunday.
00:06The Birds obliterated the Kansas City Chiefs with a 40-22 blowout win in New Orleans, dashing
00:12the Chiefs' hopes of winning three consecutive NFL championships in front of a crowd that
00:17included pop superstar Taylor Swift and U.S. President Donald Trump.
00:21Trump watched the first half before leaving, marking the first time a sitting president
00:25had attended a Super Bowl.
00:27The Eagles' defense came up big, smothering the Chiefs' creative maestro Patrick Mahomes.
00:32On offense, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts led the way, throwing for two touchdowns and
00:37running for another, and ultimately earning his first Super Bowl MVP award.
00:42A 46-yard touchdown pass from Hurts in the second half put the Eagles up 34-0.
00:48By the time the Chiefs finally got on the scoreboard late in the third, closing the
00:52gap with just over a quarter remaining proved too tall an order.
00:56With several minutes still remaining in the fourth, the Eagles were already celebrating
00:59on the sideline, dumping Gatorade on head coach Nick Sirianni.
01:03With a thumping victory at the Superdome, Philadelphia avenges their Super Bowl loss
01:08to the Chiefs in 2023, and secures their second Super Bowl title after winning it in 2018.
01:14After the game, Hurts took a moment to reflect on his path to MVP.
01:18Still processing it, you know, it's been a long journey, it's been a journey of ups
01:25and downs and highs and lows, and I've always stayed true to it in the end, and having this
01:31vision of just being the best that I can be, and that evolving over time into this desire
01:36and this flame inside to win, and you don't do great things without the guys around you.
01:44In Philadelphia, fans streamed out into the streets after their revenge against the Chiefs,
01:49cheering, waving flares, and sitting on top of street lamps.
01:53Halftime entertainment at this year's title showdown came courtesy of rapper Kendrick
01:57Lamar.
01:58The Los Angeles native took the biggest stage in music and delivered the mega-hit, Grammy-winning
02:02diss track, Not Like Us, as well as other popular songs from his catalog, with guest
02:08appearances by SZA, Samuel L. Jackson, and Serena Williams.
