Charlestown Azzurri's Taylor Regan on the NPL NNSW season ahead | February 10, 2025
Transcript
00:00Taylor, what will be Azzurri's strength this year?
00:04Probably the same as what it's been for a few years now, the camaraderie.
00:09We really have a tight group, the mentality of the players and the friendship is probably
00:14what gets us towards the top end of the table the last few years.
00:17I don't think we spend the money that a few others do, but the tightness of our group
00:22is our strength.
00:23Who's going to be a player to watch in your squad?
00:25We've got a young boy, Rhys McManus, who came through the Jets, went to the Mariners,
00:30he's only 18 now.
00:32His father was a former professional player here in Newcastle and he's exciting, he's
00:36dynamic, he's everything I'm not, he's young.
00:40Who's the team to beat?
00:42Very difficult.
00:43Olympia has spent big, a few big inclusions, Maitland Western, they're training three
00:49or four times a week.
00:50But I still think Broadmeadow Magic, youth, exuberance and a little bit of experience
00:55now for those kids, I think they'll be hard to beat.
