00:00Kansas City, how we feelin' today, baby?
00:03I always feel like I have something to prove.
00:05I mean, I'm just this guy from Texas Tech, man,
00:07that they said they couldn't play in the NFL.
00:09We're very lucky to have him here.
00:11And the stuff he's doing just doesn't happen.
00:13That's why he's the greatest at doing what he's done
00:16in a relatively young career here.
00:27I've been blessed to have been around some great ones.
00:30And, listen, you can take a little piece out of every guy
00:34and say he's kind of like this guy,
00:36he's kind of like that guy,
00:37but he's really rewriting it for himself.
00:41He's one of the greatest, man.
00:42He's going to be one of the greatest
00:43in preparing himself to be that.
00:46He's not, you know,
00:47sulking in his own success or anything like that.
00:49He's still there every day,
00:50still does all the little things.
00:51And so he has all these accolades.
00:53He's still working every single day.
00:55I'm not gonna be quick to say someone is or isn't
00:57the greatest player of all time.
01:00But if you are putting up a list,
01:02I mean, he has to be on the list, right?
01:04Because the things that they've been doing
01:06have been incredible.
01:08When you have a guy like that on your team
01:09that takes no shortcuts,
01:11that makes it easy to be a role model
01:12for the younger guys, you know?
01:14It's just, you're very fortunate.
01:16He's a rare guy.
01:17I mean, he's a lot of the likes of that
01:19Tom Brady and Bill Montana type of guy.
01:21Without a doubt, he's one of the greatest athletes
01:22of all time already.
01:24What makes him unique is that
01:26he does so many things so well in a tough sport.
01:29A competitive edge in him, man.
01:30It's just something that's real different
01:32that's gonna take away most of being in this league.
01:34That's why he's in those conversations now
01:36being one of the greatest.
01:37After our first Super Bowl,
01:39I'm pretty sure every defensive coordinator
01:40found it in their job to find a way
01:43to stop Pat Mahomes in the offseason.
01:46Like, if they knew that they were playing Pat Mahomes,
01:48they were gonna take a peek
01:49at trying to stop the best.
01:51I think he's one of the best to ever do it, honestly.
01:53Ever. No doubt about it.
01:55But you have to be ready to prepare for everything
01:58knowing that they have one of the best players
02:00of all time on the other side with Mahomes.
02:04And they can do it many different ways.
02:07Whenever you're in the face of adversity,
02:09don't show it.
02:10Go out there and just be who you are.
02:11And be cool, be confident.
