00:00It is already felt in the Caraga region that the price of rice is going down after the declaration of the Food Security Emergency.

00:07The Agriculture Department will continue to help to increase the production of rice in the region.

00:18The voters in Butuan City are happy to know that the price of rice is going down today.

00:24Here is Genevieve Paduga, who admitted that it is hard to budget for her family's daily food because of the high prices.

00:33If we buy rice, we will be able to buy vegetables and fish.

00:41We will be able to buy a lot.

00:43We are very thankful because the price of rice is going down.

00:46The price of rice in the city is going down due to the declaration of the Food Security Emergency

00:52The Department of Agriculture, as per the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,

00:57is allowed to supply rice to Filipinos.

01:00Because of this, we will be able to buy 35 pesos per kilo of rice from the National Food Authority.

01:07That is why the price of local regular and well-milled rice and imported rice is going down.

01:14The D.A. of Caragas will continue to support farmers to increase the rice production in the region.

01:23We here in Caragas, as I have said in my earlier statement,

01:28our wish forward is how we can advance our production.

01:34In that sense, if we have sponsors, we will produce what we can produce.

01:40We will be able to meet the needs of our farmers here in the region.

01:46If the D.A. of Caragas grows, the rice efficiency level of the region will be at 99.14 percent.
