00:00The Department of Agriculture announced a reduction of the maximum suggested retail price of imported rice from tomorrow to P55.
00:09The details are reported by Vell Custodio of PTV Manila.
00:15The maximum suggested retail price of imported rice from the previous P58 MSRP will be reduced to P55 from tomorrow.
00:24According to the Department of Agriculture, this step is important to reduce food price inflation
00:29particularly to basic commodities like rice.
00:32The target agency is to reduce the MSRP of imported rice to P49 from March.
00:38The price of local rice is also decreasing in the markets.
00:41The trend of prices for the supplier is decreasing especially for local rice

00:52The premium rice is just playing at P49 to P56 per kilo
00:56while the well-milled rice is P47 in the commonwealth market.
