00:00The Department of Information and Communications Technology, MWEL, and Philippine Flying Labs launched the first medicine delivery

00:08that uses drone technology in the country and in the whole of Southeast Asia.

00:13The details in the national news of Fred Moore Cavan of the Philippine Information Agency, Calabarzon.

00:20The first medicine drone delivery in the country, launched by DICT-CATUANG, is faster and easier to access.

00:33DICT Secretary Ivan Jan Uy and DOH Assistant Secretary Ariel Valencia led the launch of the BERNES project in Barangay Milugan, Pililya, Rizal.

00:44This is also the first medicine drone delivery in Southeast Asia that can be distributed to remote communities.

00:51It's the first in Southeast Asia to use this concept of drone delivery to deliver medicine to the remote areas.

01:00And we decided to pilot it in a 5th class municipality, 5th class barangay, so that we can really see the impact on the community.

01:11DICT-CATUANG is provided by MWEL Philippines, which provides tech-based healthcare platforms,

01:16like Clinik Inabag, which provides medical services through teleconsultation.

01:22According to MWEL, the lack of access to medicine is a big challenge for remote communities.

01:27After the teleconsultation, they decided to launch the medicine drone delivery.

01:32Our collaboration with DICT is continuous.

01:36Wherever BBM establishes, we have a commitment to provide them with MWEL On The Go,

01:44the Clinik Inabag, so that the community can easily consult the doctors if they need it.

01:50The project is expected to be of great help, especially to senior citizens and persons with disabilities,

01:56because they no longer need to travel far to get their medicine.

02:01Through the medicine drone delivery, DICT and DOH believe that they can strengthen the healthcare sector

02:08towards more affordable and quality medical services for everyone.
