00:00We're here once again. I am so honored to be here with the one and only Frankie Valli.
00:06Well, we had a great start here anyway.
00:09You tried to prank me and pretend to be someone else.
00:12And let me tell you, I fell for it.
00:15But tell me, now that we can confirm that this is in fact Frankie Valli and you're not messing with me.
00:21Tell me, what is the key to such a successful career?
00:26I just think a lot of hard work and there's really no way to be successful
00:33unless you really make up your mind that you're going to give your heart and soul
00:39to whatever it is that your love or your passion is for.
00:47So it does take a lot of hard work, a lot of heartbreak and a lot of wonderful moments.
00:56You've had plenty of wonderful moments.
00:58Is there a memory when you look back at your decades, decades, decades career
01:03that you look back so fondly and wish you could go back?
01:06I remember the first three records that we put out were all number ones.
01:14And the fourth one went to number three and I thought it was over.
01:19I said, oh my God.
01:21It's like the careers in the bucket.
01:24But, you know, I'm relentless.
01:29When there's something that I want, I just really go for it.
01:34A hundred percent.
01:35And something that's so special about your career specifically
01:38is how many memories that you're tied to and your music is tied to.
01:42My mother used to literally stop me crying by playing Can't Take My Eyes Off of You.
01:48And so it's incredible that you're so ingrained in people's lives.
01:52How does it feel to be able to make music that's so impactful to so many different types of people?
01:58Well, we had the ability to do that because we set it all up in our minds before we even started.
02:08I mean, when I think of it, even for me, it's overwhelming to think about.
02:16There isn't a particular kind of music that we haven't recorded.
02:22So we were not afraid to try new things, hoping that the public would accept it.
02:31Along those same lines, what advice do you have for younger artists now that are just starting their journey?
02:37If this is what they're going to do, they have to get ready to work their butts off right to the very end.
02:48You've got to keep on working.
02:50And look at you, all these years later, such a success.
02:53Thank you again, Frankie Valli.
02:55Thank you for being here.
02:56I am such a big fan.
