00:00Do you feel that Kate feels pressure to return to work?
00:04How do you think that she's kind of approaching this new year physically, emotionally?
00:08I think she probably is receiving pressure to go back to work,
00:12but I think she's set up boundaries to take her time.
00:16She's learned over the past 10, 11, 12 years that this is a marathon.
00:21It is not a sprint.
00:23She has a long time in this role as the Princess of Wales,
00:26and the highest priority is that she is well enough to continue that role for as long as she can,
00:32rather than rushing back into work and putting her health at risk.
00:36She's set boundaries with the statements that Kensington Palace has released.
00:40They are really stressing that this is going to be a slow return back to work,
00:44and I think she's set those boundaries and she's confident in them.
00:48How do you feel within those boundaries?
00:50How do you feel like she decides what events that she's going to be attending?
00:53Is it kind of like a day-by-day basis?
00:55She'll wake up, see how she feels.
00:57I think there's an element of her waking up and seeing how she feels,
01:01or especially with regular events like Christmas Day, like the BAFTAs,
01:07with these recurring events that will continue on whether she's there or not.
01:11And I think she's taking the time to prioritize events and organizations that she wants to
01:18use this particularly bright spotlight to promote,
01:22because her events right now are getting so much more attention because
01:27she's doing this slow roll back into work,
01:29and so she's taking that opportunity to really shine that bright spotlight
01:32onto specific organizations.
01:34Given her family-first mentality, do you think she's reluctant to return full-time?
01:39Do you think she ever would return full-time now?
01:42I think we will see her return as full-time as she was in 2023,
01:49meaning around the school holidays, being mindful of pick-up and drop-off.
01:55I really think that if Kate had not become the Princess of Wales,
01:58she would have lived in a little country house with a dog by the alga
02:03and taken her kids to and from school every day.
02:06And I think Prince William knows how much of that life she has given up for him,
02:11and they both work together to sort of preserve that dream for Catherine as much as they can.
02:16She prioritizes the school run and the rugby games and the ballet lessons
02:21and fits in her really important royal work around that.
