On Oct. 1, 2017 the nation, indeed the world was alerted to a mass shooting even in Las Vegas, Nevada. While mass shootings have not been unique, this particular incident was unique in many ways. But there are still lingering questions about the event, the shooter himself, and the method and ease of his being able to establish a lethal observation post far above the plaza where he randomly selected his victims.
