00:00In 2024, one out of five French young people under 30 experienced symptoms of depression,
00:05the plague of this century.
00:21At Hitch, the French Uber competitor, 75% of our clients are under 30,
00:26and we know our rides are often more than a simple way to go to a party or to work.
00:30They're a break where people can relax and talk about their day and their emotions.
00:35Easier to do when they're confining in someone who has their back to them.
00:38Hitch, in partnership with the Fauret Foundation,
00:41expert in mental health since 1841, presents First Conversation.
00:46A brand new service where some of our drivers are replaced with real psychologists.
00:52A simple way to turn every ride into a place cut off from time,
00:55where the under 30s can open up to professionals in a safe space,
00:59with a one-to-one discussion and no judgment.
01:15At the end of each ride, the passengers pay for their journey
01:18as if they were paying for a regular session with a psychologist.
01:22They receive a link to a dedicated platform
01:24that allows them to continue their therapy with the closest therapist to their home.
01:29There were over 1,000 First Conversation rides the first week,
01:33more than 1,000 discussions that stayed private in our cars,
01:36but very quickly people reacted to the operation.
01:39What started as a test became a TikTok trending topic,
01:43and hundreds of psychologists asked to join the program that will now be available all year.
