00:00One by one, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin answered various issues

00:04from the international criminal court, impeachment to the controversial Senate Bill 1979.

00:15The position of the Philippines on the international criminal court or ICC is still unchanged.

00:22According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin,

00:24although the withdrawal of the country is already effective,

00:28he is ready to help the government if there is a request from the ICC

00:32to give the Philippines a particular individual in their jurisdiction.

00:37He is willing to let the ICC pass the request to the International Police or Interpol.

00:43He pointed out that Interpol is a committee

00:46where the country is also benefiting from the release of other cases

00:50and he needs to respect any request from the Philippines.

00:54The position is, we are no longer in the jurisdiction of the ICC.

00:58But that does not necessarily mean, because of what I just said,

01:02that does not necessarily mean that the order of the ICC

01:07and force through the Interpol is to be ignored.

01:12I'm not saying that we are giving the ICC, we are giving the Interpol.

01:19In the discussion of the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte,

01:25Palacio denied that the President has no power to dictate the low status of the Congress

01:31if the impeachment complaint will continue or not.

01:34That is the answer of Palacio in the statement of Makabayan Block

01:37that it seems that the President is stopping the impeachment complaint against the Vice President.

01:43The point of the secret is that even if the President released a statement about the impeachment complaint,

01:47it is just an opinion and not a dictation of what the Congress should do.
