00:44mishaps at the Liberty Ball celebration had fans worried for the country star,
00:48with some dubbing the performance a disaster and train wreck.
00:51Trace wrote in part,
00:52"'It seems this world has beaten you down and it's become obvious to everyone but you.
00:56You may be upset with me for posting this, but I really could care less at this point.
01:00Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years,
01:03but you've pushed all of us away.'"
01:05Billy Ray Cyrus has defended his performance in his own Instagram note,
01:09"'I had a ball at the Liberty Ball last night,
01:11and I've learned through all these years when the producer says you're on,
01:14you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to hell.
01:17I was there for the people and we had a blast. That's called rock and roll.'"
