00:00Welcome to the behind-the-scenes of Watson.
00:07Watson is a show in the Sherlock Holmes universe.
00:11It's a medical show with an investigative spine.
00:14So basically, we are doctors who solve medical mysteries.
00:18We are doctectives.
00:19Watson takes place after the death of Sherlock Holmes.
00:22And Sherlock Holmes has bestowed a pretty significant grant to Watson
00:27to start a rare disorder clinic.
00:30I watched my father die of FFI, Dr. Watson.
00:33It took my grandfather before that, and I know it's going to kill me, too.
00:37All of this is based on real cases, real science,
00:40and I think that that's fascinating.
00:42It's the best lab in the country, Dr. Lubbock.
00:44I'm sure you'll figure it out.
00:45The canon is always very much with us.
00:48The life that Watson had with Sherlock is not done with him.
00:51An arch-villain named Moriarty whose hands make the shape of an M.
00:54That sounds fictional.
00:55Did you ever see his face?
00:56I don't know.
00:57There are many familiar characters.
00:59His closest confidant is a man named Shunwell Johnson,
01:02who, by the way, has definitely killed people before.
01:04And these new characters are just fascinating as well.
01:09He has a team of four younger doctors who are kind of his protégés.
01:13I play Stevens and Adam Croft, who are identical twins.
01:17Each one of them has a little thing that piques an interest that Watson has,
01:21and that's why he brought them into the clinic.
01:23He sees the whole world as an experiment in genetic medicine.
01:26We're just a part of it.
01:27And then, of course, we have Mary,
01:29and she is John Watson's estranged wife,
01:33but she's also the medical director of the hospital.
01:37Morris Chestnut is brilliant.
01:39He's an absolute gem.
01:41He's on point, and he's kind and giving and inquisitive.
01:44The game's afoot.
01:45We have a new case.
01:47Who wants to amaze us with their insights?
01:49You don't have to be a fan of Sherlock Holmes to enjoy Watson,
01:52and I think that's the beauty of it.
01:53When people see the show, they really get engrossed in the characters and the story.
01:57We have humor, we have drama, we have action.
02:01There's a little bit of everything.
