00:00Two soldiers were killed after encountering some members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front or MILF in Sumisip, Basilan.
00:19According to the 101st Brigade of the Philippine Army,
00:22the United Nations Development Program was targeted by an armed group that has a project in the area as well as their escort soldiers.
00:30The armed group fought back the soldiers' vehicles.
00:35Less than 12 were injured in the encounter.
00:38Some of them were taken to Lamitan District Hospital before being transferred to Camp Navarro General Hospital in Zabongkas City.
00:46Basilan LGU and Presidential Peace Adviser Carlito Galvez Jr. were also there.
00:52They also offered their condolences to the families of the two wounded soldiers.
00:56According to Galvez, they are doing their best to prevent the tensions in Sumisip, Basilan from escalating.
