00:00Some OFWs in Lebanon asked for help from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:05because of the ongoing war there.

00:07The DMW immediately cried out in support of their request.

00:12Efraim Gaitos of Radyo Pilipinas has news for the country.

00:18I called President Marcos, DBM, and asked him to help us.

00:23Overseas Filipino workers are begging President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:28because of the ongoing war in Lebanon.

00:30In Radyo Pilipinas' interview, they told the government that they want the Philippines to go home because of the trauma.

00:38Although the Migrant Worker's Office has fulfilled some of their needs,

00:42they are too long in staying in shelters.

00:46As for the Department of Migrant Workers' Secretary, Hans Leo Kakdak,

00:50they are doing everything to repatriate our countrymen in Lebanon.

00:55The process in general security in Lebanon is delayed and there is a delay in the repatriation of our government.

01:02The bottleneck is in Lebanese immigration.

01:05We are hoping that this January, the process will be faster.

01:09We are hoping that our countrymen will be able to go home.

01:13As of now, the DMW is continuously helping the Philippine Embassy in Lebanon

01:19to expedite the clearance of general security and our countrymen will be able to go home.

01:26Aside from this, the government of the OFW will help those who will not be able to go home

01:31because of the cases they are facing in Lebanon.

01:34Don't worry, we will help you go home and we will escort you to the airport.

01:40You will be able to reach our beloved countrymen.

01:43Rest assured, I will continue to give orders to you to go home as soon as possible.

01:48Once the DMW is approved, they will continue to remind the OFWs

01:53in accordance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s orders to protect them.
