00:00Do you feel any better about the Bruins and their chances of making the playoffs?
00:02Nah, no. I don't feel better about it.
00:04I mean, they desperately needed the two points.
00:06So, I think it's kind of, you should feel the same way you felt yesterday.
00:11And I didn't feel great about it yesterday, even before the game.
00:14Because we said this is almost like two points that you have to have.
00:17Home game against the worst team in hockey.
00:20But you just see what else is going on around the division, let alone the conference.
00:24I don't have a great deal of faith.
00:26Now, maybe one thing, maybe Joe Sacco and Cam Neely and Don Sweeney
00:31see the young players and sort of the shot of adrenaline they've given the team.
00:36And maybe you stick with some of these guys a little bit more.
00:38They've had to shuffle the lineups, whether it's Trent Frederick being sick,
00:40or guys getting hurt here, they're getting dinged up.
00:43But some of these young guys seem to be going balls to the wall out there.
00:47Potra's giving you something.
00:48Yeah.
00:48You know, I mean, he has.
00:49He had the goal in his first game.
00:52He had the setup the other day, or yesterday rather, to coil on the game-tying goal.
00:56So, yeah, I think he's giving you a little something.
00:58Maybe there's an element to it.
01:00But when you have your captain getting benched against the Senators,
01:04and you have your team president coming out and talking about retooling,
01:08hell no, I don't feel any better about this team making the playoffs.
01:10No.
01:11Just because they picked up two points, barely, against arguably the worst team in the NHL.
01:15I'm going to need a much longer stretch to convince me of that.
01:18And I would say the same thing for Cam Neely, Don Sweeney, and Bruins ownership.
01:22They're still...
01:22Before they're convinced.
01:23Yeah.
01:23They're still...
01:24Right now, they moved into a playoff spot with the win yesterday.
01:29Because Columbus has dropped two in a row.
01:31But Columbus has played one less game, and they are one point back.
01:34Montreal is right there.
01:37They're two points back with two games in hand.
01:39So, yeah, they're in there.
01:41It seems like they're going to be kind of ping-ponging between wild card, not wild card.
01:45Almost like, kind of like the Red Sox the last few years at the deadline.
01:49And they've had to make these hard decisions.
01:51And they've kind of made the wrong decision every time.
01:53This time, if they're where they're at right now, technically in the playoffs,
01:58when the trade deadline comes around, what direction is Cam Neely going?
02:01Does he look at that and be like, yeah, we're right there.
02:03Because don't you feel like the history of the team would tell you,
02:06Jacobs would tell him...
02:08Yeah, they'd trade a first or second round pick to beef up the roster, yeah.
02:11Get into the playoffs.
02:12Yeah.
02:12Stay in the playoffs.
02:13I don't care if we're not a cup-winning team, but we need to be a playoff team.
02:15Which, largely, I agree with.
