00:00A saliva test will be carried out on the devotees of Mahakumbhu and their DNA will be tested.
00:07For the first time, the number of millions of people coming to Mahakumbhu will be tested on the DNA of the devotees.
00:16This will be carried out by the Geology Department of Banaras Hindu University.
00:21Under the leadership of Professor Gyaneshwar Chaubey of the Geology Department,
00:25a team of 5 people will stay in Mahakumbhu for 3 days, where the DNA of the devotees will be tested.
00:33Along with this, the antibody level in the body of the devotees will also be tested and a kit has also been prepared for this.
00:41In the pictures, you can see that this is the same kit through which the saliva test will be carried out,
00:47after which the DNA will be tested and along with it, there is this antibody kit through which it will be found that how much antibody is there in the body of the people
00:56and how much they are ready to fight other diseases.
01:00In this regard, Professor Gyaneshwar Chaubey, a gene scientist, tells that our purpose of doing this DNA test is that
01:07we want to see how much gene diversity has been presented in Mahakumbhu, how many people have come to Mahakumbhu.
01:17Along with this, we will also do an antibody test.
01:20Through this test, the ability of the people coming there to fight diseases will be seen, how much they are ready to fight other diseases.
01:29Through this, if a pandemic comes, then we can find out what kind of antibodies are in the body of the people and how to fight other pandemics or diseases.
01:40He said that for this, on January 31, February 1, February 7, on the 3rd, a team of 5 people will be present and the saliva test of the people coming to Kumbh will be done.
01:52After that, in 5 to 7 months, a DNA test report will come, after which it will be found that in this Mahakumbh, how many percentage of people from different parts of India have registered their presence.
02:06We are going to work on two different aspects in Mahakumbh.
02:12One is that the COVID has been in India for a long time, so it is still said that COVID has not gone, it is still infecting people.
02:23So, we will do an antibody test at three different times, at different timelines, of different people, because of which we will try to understand how much immunity is existing against this virus in the whole of India.
02:38The other thing we have is that the people coming to Kumbh are the diversity of India, because people come from all over India, so we plan to collect about 500 samples in random sampling to see how much we are able to capture the diversity of Kumbh.
02:56Because the ethnicity of a person, where his origin is from, and from which state he is coming from, all these things are very different.
03:04So, we have a database of 25,000 samples, which shows the diversity of the whole of India.
03:10So, there is a scale, 0 to 1, in that scale, we will fit where Kumbh is fitting, how much percent genetic diversity it is capturing of India.
03:20We have fixed three different distinct dates, on those dates, we have an expert team of 5 people, who are doing antibody serosurveillance for a long time and are also publishing it.
03:33So, there is a kit of serosurveillance, in which we will take a small blood sample and check the level of the antibody in that person.
03:43And the second thing is that we will collect saliva in a large population, so that we will be able to find out that by taking it, we will take it to the DNA lab and further analyze the DNA to find out about the diversity.
03:57We have three dates, 31st January, then 1st February and 7th February, these are the three dates.
04:07The antibody test will be compiled within the next week, we will prepare it within a week.
04:13The DNA work, because the major part of it is sample collection, it will be done in the lab, so it will take at least 4 to 6 months.
04:22For the first time, the DNA of the people coming to the Mahakumbh will be tested, whose purpose is to see how many percent of India's different gene DNA people have made their presence in the Mahakumbh.
04:37Along with this, the ability of people to fight diseases will be tested through the antibody kit.
04:43On 1st February, ETB Bharat, Warrants.
