Ali has difficulty communicating, and has two friends in his life: His brother and his rabbit. Ali loses both of them and now has only one wish: Saving people. After his brother's death, Ali is disowned by his father and grows up in an orphanage. Dr Adil discovers that Ali has tremendous medical skills due to savant syndrome and takes care of him. After attending medical school and graduating at the top of his class, Ali starts working as an assistant surgeon at the hospital where Dr Adil is the head physician. Although some people in the hospital administration say that Ali is not suitable for the job due to his condition, Dr Adil stands behind Ali and gets him hired. 00:00I think you should have the surgery.
00:02You can't live without knowing.
00:04It's like death.
00:08I don't know what to do.
00:11Without any complications,
00:13I don't have a chance to get out of this surgery.
00:15Of course you do.
00:17Surgery is hard.
00:19The tumor increases and it's very close to the nerves.
00:23I talked to my family.
00:25They don't want me to have the surgery.
00:27They're right.
00:295% chance of cordoma.
00:31The rates are with your family.
00:33I'm like that too.
00:35Your surgical skills
00:37are more deadly than this tumor?
00:40Don't miss it.
00:42But there is a possibility.
00:44You can have the surgery once,
00:46take this risk once,
00:48and end all this uncertainty.
00:50Look, Mr. Servet, we're talking about chances.
00:52Can I explain?
00:54If you come more often,
00:56we'll do a test.
00:58That's my idea.
01:00As a surgeon.
01:02I can't live like this.
01:08Mr. Servet,
01:10the surgery will kill you 20%.
01:125% chance of cordoma.
01:17Don't you think the choice is obvious?
01:20I'll investigate this myself.
01:22I'll decide later.
01:24Thank you for coming.
01:26As you wish.
01:41What happened?
01:43Did you find Ali?
01:45I'll find him.
01:47Didn't you find him?
01:57Barış, I'm so sorry.
02:02Take this.
02:04Take it.
02:10There he is.
02:12Isn't that him?
02:14Isn't he Ali's brother?
02:16The man with the hand bone.
02:26Hand bone?
02:28Really?
02:30Did you find Ali?
02:32Will I be okay now?
02:42Yes.
02:44Yes.
02:46Sobe.
02:50Sobe.
02:56Sobe.
02:58Sobe.
03:00Sobe.
03:02Sobe.
03:04Sobe.
03:06Sobe.
03:08Hand bone.
03:10They're all mixed up.
03:14I didn't see a single bone.
03:16Not even one.
03:22We'll try to find another way.
03:25Barış, write this down.
03:34Cancer cells.
03:36What?
03:37Cancer cells.
03:44He said two hands.
03:46Cancer.
03:51Okay.
03:54We'll talk to Dr. Ferman.
03:56He'll give us a good idea.
04:00Ali.
04:19He's not sick.
04:21He said he can't get better.
04:23No school from now on.
04:25I can't afford it.
04:29Don't you see how bad it is?
04:31Shut up.
04:33I'll kill you.
04:35Shut up.
04:52Doctor.
05:00Brother.
05:05How can you say he's in surgery?
05:08He's not going to stop.
05:10He'll ask for surgery.
05:12That's his decision.
05:14Does everyone have to be blind like you?
05:16Okay, I'm shut up.
05:18But no matter what I say, this man is going to have a surgery.
05:31What are you saying, sir?
05:33Sir, please, let me tell you something good.
05:36Amputation in two houses.
05:38I'm sorry.
05:41Sir, but we don't have MRI images.
05:43Maybe if we come there, we...
05:44Ali, if you come here, it's going to be an amputation again.
05:47Because...
05:48He's got cancer. His life is in danger right now.
05:55Sir, but it's too small.
05:57It's artificial.
05:58He's going to take his hands off.
06:00He can't do anything.
06:01Ali, if you don't have an amputation, the tumor will turn into cancer.
06:04First the oncology, then it's going to spread all over his body.
06:07Don't you understand?
06:08Ali, I'm so sorry.
06:11No way.
06:13No way.
06:14Ali.
06:15Didn't you check with your hand?
06:17Did you find the bone?
06:19Sir, I couldn't find it. Yes, I couldn't find it, but...
06:21But...
06:22I mean, we need to look at the MRI.
06:25Besides, I may not have seen it.
06:27I'm not a superhero, after all, sir.
06:29Nazlı couldn't see it either.
06:31She didn't go to the X-ray, she looked at it with the needle.
06:32She couldn't find the bone.
06:34His hand is spread out, it's cancer.
06:39No way.
06:40No way, I don't accept it.
06:42Ali.
06:43You have to be strong to help Barış, do you understand me?
06:47Besides, you have more information about the protest technologies than we do.
06:51The child can go to school.
06:53He can be happy again.
06:56You know better than us what it means to struggle with difficulties.
07:00You can help Barış.
07:02Pull yourself together, come on.
07:06It's his fault.
07:07Ali, Ali, wait a minute.
07:09What's going on?
07:10Sir.
07:12Nazlı, run, run.
07:13Okay, run, you'll tell me later, come on.
07:22Sister Gonca, this is the operation.
07:24You know it's not possible in our hospital.
07:25I'm going to increase the pain.
07:27You can't go to another hospital...
07:30It's your fault.
07:31What's going on?
07:32We're going to cut Barış's hands because of you.
07:34And it's your fault, because of you.
07:36We'll do it another time.
07:38Because of you.
07:40Pull yourself together.
07:42Pull yourself together.
07:43How many months have you been in this hospital?
07:45Can't a person do one biopsy?
07:47Or, I don't know, can't he do another follow-up?
07:49Is this what being a doctor is like?
07:51Is this what being a doctor is like?
07:52Is this what being a doctor is like?
07:53How can you be a doctor?
07:54Okay, okay.
07:55I'm sorry, Ali, it's a little...
07:57No, I'm sorry.
07:59Yes, I'm sorry.
08:00Because you made a mistake.
08:01Because of you.
08:02Because of you.
08:09You can come with me.
08:11What's going on?
08:12Come, come.
08:13I'll show you something.
08:14What's going on?
08:16What's going on?
08:26Come here, come. I'll show you something.
08:42This is Arif.
08:43He's eight years old.
08:44Last year, he lost his arm in a car accident.
08:48He's the youngest of nine children.
08:53His parents don't wait for him.
08:55They work in the field.
09:08This is Zeliha.
09:09This is Zeliha.
09:11She's 11 years old.
09:15She's the oldest.
09:18She had meningitis.
09:21Maybe if she took an antibiotic,
09:23she'd get better.
09:27But her parents didn't bring her to treatment.
09:36Now this is the situation.
09:37She can't tie her shoelaces.
09:40She has to leave.
09:55This is Dursun.
09:59We don't know how old he is.
10:02Because he doesn't talk.
10:05His father killed his mom with a hammer in front of his eyes.
10:09This is Ahmet.
10:12Two months ago, he hid under a truck.
10:15He was cold. He was asleep.
10:25They didn't see him.
10:29Now he's missing both his legs.
10:34Do you want me to count more?
10:36How many more are there in this ward?
10:39I don't know.
10:44I was very sad when I was assigned here.
10:47I wanted to pay for my own treatment.
10:50I thought it would be useful.
10:52But I couldn't do it.
10:54It wasn't enough.
10:56Because one came, the other left.
10:58It didn't work.
11:04You thought I was a bad person.
11:08But I'm not.
11:11It's just...
11:13It's just life.
11:15It's so unfair.
11:21People...
11:27Their conscience turns to stone.
11:30They lose hope.
11:33The charity organizations...
11:35Didn't they do anything?
11:37It's not their fault. These kids are sick.
11:40They need treatment.
11:42So they can be on the list.
11:51I wish I was responsible for all this.
11:54Then you'd complain about me.
11:56I'd be fired.
11:58But I'm not responsible for all this.
12:01I'm not responsible for all this.
12:09Life.
12:31Life.
12:33Life.
12:35Life.
12:37Life.
12:39Life.
12:41Life.
12:43Life.
12:45Life.
12:47Life.
12:49Life.
12:51Life.
12:53Life.
12:55Life.
12:57Life.
12:59Life.
13:01Life.
13:03Life.
13:05Life.
13:07Life.
13:09Life.
13:11Life.
13:13Life.
13:15Life.
13:19Because no one can do anything.
13:21I told you, this is your decision.
13:23And you have to say it now.
13:27CRISPR.
13:30I don't understand.
13:32Look, I told you I did market research.
13:35Genetic treatments are available in Europe and America.
13:39The patient's own immune system...
13:41It's a long-term treatment.
13:43If it's Cordoma, it won't be applied.
13:45Okay.
13:47Radiotherapy or chemotherapy then.
13:49There are more advanced models.
13:51I'll say the same thing, Mr. Servet.
13:53If it's Cordoma, it won't be applied.
13:57I'll say Proton B then.
13:59A very high dose of radiation to the tumor area...
14:02Mr. Servet, I already know all of these.
14:05If these were an option, I would recommend it to you first.
14:08Right?
14:09Wrong tumor.
14:10I'm sorry.
14:15Then you say something.
14:19Look, if it's money, it's okay.
14:21Save me from this trouble.
14:23I'll give you more, Mr. Ferman.
14:27Mr. Servet.
14:30When will you understand that it's not about money?
14:33When will you understand that your money has no value here?
14:38This is called a tumor.
14:39You can't bargain.
14:41Can I explain?
14:42Go ahead, Nedim.
14:44Come on.
14:45I offered you your options.
14:47That's it.
14:49Those options aren't enough for me.
14:51Not enough.
14:53How can I decide without knowing anything?
14:55It's the same for everyone.
14:57I'm not everyone.
14:59I'm not everyone.
15:02I understand that you don't like me.
15:05But you don't help me at all.
15:08This is unfair.
15:09Unfair.
15:11Unfair.
15:13I just told my assistants to cut the hands of a 7-year-old boy.
15:20Can I explain?
15:21A 7-year-old boy.
15:24Is this right?
15:27Is this fair?
15:30Please.
15:33You've only been talking about money since you got here.
15:37Please.
15:39Really.
15:54What are you doing?
15:55What are you doing?
15:56There's a long way to go.
15:57Are you going to pass me?
15:58What are you doing?
16:08Hi.
16:10What do you mean?
16:13You and the motorcycle.
16:19What I don't understand is this.
16:21Why are you all so prejudiced against me?
16:25Me and the motorcycle.
16:26Can't it be?
16:28I've been on it for 20 years, ma'am.
16:32I'm just surprised.
16:35You think you know me very well.
16:39You're wrong, little lady.
16:41There's a lot I don't know about me.
16:45Actually, you can see if you really look.
16:48Actually, you can see if you really look.
16:51But if you really look.
16:57I...
16:59Okay, okay, okay.
17:01I understand very well.
17:04We've been playing hide-and-seek since the ball.
17:08You're running away from me, huh?
17:14Yes.
17:17Take it.
17:20Take what?
17:22The helmet.
17:23I'll take you home.
17:25No, I've never...
17:26You've never ridden a motorcycle before, have you?
17:30But you know everything has a beginning.
17:36Look, let's go.
17:48But you're going to drive slowly, promise?
17:50Promise.
17:53Okay.
17:54Now, here's the thing.
17:56I've never ridden a motorcycle before.
17:58So you're going to wear this.
18:03Of course.
18:07I'd love to.
18:11I'd love to.
18:13I'd love to.
18:14I'd love to.
18:18Yes.
18:19Let's put your crown on, queen.
18:24Okay.
18:25Come.
18:41Yes.
18:45You step on the left foot.
18:47You hold on to me. Come.
18:49Come.
18:57Slowly.
19:00Are we ready?
19:01Yes.
19:02Let's go then.
19:03Slowly.
19:05Stop!
19:15Efe, look.
19:17I think we're going to stay at the hotel.
19:19No, there's no hotel in the village.
19:21I had a hard time finding this place.
19:29Take this.
19:32Welcome.
19:34Welcome.
19:44Doctor.
19:45Doctor.
19:46Doctor ladies.
19:48Doctor.
19:49Doctor.
19:50I'm Ezo.
19:52Nice to meet you.
19:54Here you go.
19:57Let me help you.
19:58You've been through a lot.
20:00Here you go.
20:02Okay.
20:03Let me help you.
20:04Here you go.
20:08Let's go.
20:09Let's go.
20:13Welcome.
20:15I made some tea.
20:16It will keep you warm.
20:17Thanks.
20:18Enjoy it.
20:23Zuba.
20:24Ali.
20:25Do you like it?
20:26We had one when we were kids.
20:29What a coincidence.
20:31So you liked it then.
20:32I like it.
20:37Come on.
20:38Let's go.
20:39Come on.
20:40Let's go.
20:41I'll walk.
20:42I liked it.
20:45Let's just settle down. It's not too late.
20:48We'll have a little chat in the morning. We'll have fun.
20:51While we're here, it's ready.
20:53Who's staying with whom?
20:55What do you mean, who's staying with whom?
20:58You asked for two rooms from me, baby.
21:00Well, our plans changed at the last minute.
21:04I made the adjustments because we were going to come with two people.
21:07I have two rooms, baby.
21:09I'm staying upstairs. I don't have any other room.
21:11Then, okay, we'll stay with Ali.
21:17I'm scared.
21:18I can't sleep here alone until morning.
21:23What if I didn't come?
21:24It's a good thing you came.
21:26Think about it. I've never seen this place.
21:28I've never been to a place like this.
21:32Okay, then let's do this.
21:34We'll stay together.
21:35Come on, go to your room.
21:37If you need anything, I'm here.
21:39I'll put the doctor in his place.
21:41Okay, baby?
21:51Which way are you going?
21:53It doesn't matter to me. You choose.
21:55Okay.
21:57Oh!
22:02Oh!
22:05Is that what a closet is?
22:07Who can afford it now?
22:08You use it. I didn't bring much anyway.
22:16What a nice deal.
22:17This is how we share everything.
22:19Well done to us.
22:21If there's anything you want to wear, you can wear it from me.
22:24Because...
22:26It's foggy, but I didn't know. I hope we don't get cold.
22:29No.
22:30If it goes out, I'll burn it. I know how to burn.
22:35I'm not afraid of fire.
22:41I said, if I were fire, would I be afraid?
22:43I'm not afraid of fire, either.
22:54I'm not afraid of fire.
23:24I'm not afraid of fire.
23:29Oh!
23:37If you're not careful, you'll burn.
23:42Fire doesn't come to play.
23:46Why should I burn?
23:50If you can burn, I can burn, too.
23:54But you're like a child.
23:57You have to be patient.
23:59You have to work hard.
24:03I'm impatient. I'm impatient, yes.
24:08But when I care about something, my eyes don't see anything else.
24:15I work harder than anyone else.
24:19You'll be gentle later.
24:22You have to approach the fire carefully.
24:26Because it's sensitive.
24:29If you go too far, it can go out.
24:33I'll hold it.
24:41I mean, I'm not a very straightforward type.
24:46I like it. I like the changing conditions. I adapt.
24:49I keep producing something.
24:53I have fun. I like to have fun.
24:55For example, look now.
25:01The whole room will smell great.
25:20But you need courage.
25:23Because you don't know what you're going to face.
25:28This is fire.
25:33You have to be patient.
25:37You can't give up right away.
25:40You'll have to repeat it over and over again.
25:42You'll be willing to burn.
25:46If you love fire, you'll be willing to burn.
25:58Don't be afraid. I'll take care of it.
26:03Like I always do.
26:12I love you.
26:42I love you.
27:12I love you.
27:43Come in.
27:46Oh, Ali.
27:48Have you settled down?
27:50Let's go out for some fresh air. Let's walk around.
27:54Nazlı, can I work with you for a little while?
27:58Maybe we can find something that doesn't come to mind.
28:03Of course.
28:05We can find something that gives us head.
28:08I have a lot of work to do.
28:09Maybe we'll find something.
28:13Can I come with you?
28:15You must be tired.
28:17You've been filming all day.
28:19You met your mom.
28:21You should rest.
28:23Good night.
28:25Good night.
28:39What happened? Did you miss me?
28:57Mom.
28:59How are you?
29:01I did my best.
29:03I heard.
29:05Amputation.
29:07Amputation.
29:09Ali is not crazy, is he?
29:15No one is crazy, mom.
29:19Ali is sad.
29:21I'm sad.
29:23We're all sad.
29:27I made you very sad, didn't I?
29:29Where did it come from?
29:33Look at me. You're taking your medicine, aren't you?
29:35I'm drinking. Listen.
29:37You were just trying to be a good mom, weren't you?
29:41You were always with me.
29:43You always tried to do the best for me.
29:47I went to the best schools.
29:49You were a good mom.
29:51You were just trying to do the best for me.
29:53What did I do?
29:57I was jealous.
29:59I fought.
30:01When I got the chance, I ran away from you.
30:11You deserved to be a better girl, mom.
30:17You deserved to be better than me.
30:21I don't deserve you.
30:23Ezo.
30:25Ezo.
30:29How many times did you save me?
30:31How many times?
30:33I don't even remember.
30:39Mom.
30:41Mom, this boy is too young.
30:47He doesn't have a mother like you.
30:51He doesn't have a mother.
30:53He doesn't have anyone.
30:55He doesn't have a house.
30:57He doesn't have a park.
30:59He doesn't have a job.
31:01Mom, for the first time in my life,
31:03I see a person more lonely than me.
31:09Mom, he won't have hands.
31:11They'll cut his hands off.
31:13I swear.
31:15That's all I'm doing.
31:17That's all I'm doing.
31:19Just for that boy, mom.
31:21It's not for anything.
31:25What I want from you
31:27is not even a tenth of what you've done for me
31:31all this time.
31:35That's for everyone.
31:37Too much, mom.
31:39Let's scream and protest.
31:45I mean, at least...
31:47I looked, it's too much.
31:49But you can do it.
31:53Let's scream and protest.
31:55Please.
31:57Is there anything I can do?
32:03Please, mom.
32:05Help me.
32:13Mom.
32:15Okay, let's talk in ten minutes?
32:19Okay.
32:37Okay, okay.
32:39Listen to me.
32:41When the market opens tomorrow morning,
32:43sell your gold.
32:45It doesn't matter how much we lost.
32:47You can do it.
32:49You can make up for it.
32:51You can make up for everything.
32:53Okay, I'll call you in the morning.
32:59You're right.
33:01You're right, but
33:03some things don't make up for it.
33:05I haven't left yet.
33:07You're at the hospital.
33:09There are things I can't do.
33:11Like the time that passed.
33:13What?
33:15What are you talking about?
33:23I saw Levent last night.
33:29It's been a long time, you know?
33:31I couldn't recognize him.
33:39Has he returned to that country?
33:41Yes.
33:43He's back, but
33:45he's very sick.
33:49How is he sick?
33:51I mean...
33:53Okay, I give up.
33:55I was going to tell you something else.
33:57But listen to me.
33:59Come on, Servet.
34:01Look at yourself.
34:03You're at the hospital.
34:05Look at yourself.
34:07Listen to me.
34:09We're cooperating with
34:11the hospitals in need.
34:13We're helping them.
34:15Servet.
34:17There's a child in need.
34:19They're going to cut their hands.
34:23Don't you think about it?
34:27Don't you want to help?
34:31You wouldn't break up with your sweet friend,
34:33would you?
34:35For my sake.
34:37Tell me about the child.
34:41You're...
34:43You're such a soft-hearted person.
34:47Look, listen.
34:51How's the prosthesis?
34:57We've completely given up
34:59saving Boris' hands.
35:01No, but
35:03we can find a good prosthesis.
35:07How much?
35:0960,000 liras.
35:11That's a lot of money.
35:13We can't afford it.
35:15We can't pay for the prosthesis.
35:17How about this?
35:21No way.
35:23No way.
35:25He has to renew it every year.
35:27I'm so sorry.
35:29I couldn't do it.
35:31They say it's a miracle,
35:33but I couldn't do it.
35:35I couldn't do it.
35:49Let me see.
35:57Is it because of me?
36:01No.
36:03It has nothing to do with you.
36:07Everything is fine, dad.
36:11He won't send me
36:13to school.
36:17He's a bit stubborn.
36:19When do we stop?
36:23He'll beat you.
36:25If he beats me,
36:27I'll run away.
36:29But you'll go to school.
36:31You'll be successful.
36:33Don't listen to anyone.
36:35Even if it's my dad.
36:39I believe in you.
36:43Believe in yourself.
36:45You'll study, okay?
37:01Look, it's over.
37:03It doesn't hurt anymore.
37:07Why?
37:09Because I believe in you.
37:13See?
37:31Believe
37:33Believe
37:37Believe?
37:39Believe?
37:41Believe, of course!
37:43What?
37:45My miracle isn't my talent.
37:47It's my miracle.
37:49Believe.
37:51You're saying very nice things.
37:53But I don't understand.
37:57I don't know how it's gonna be.
37:59I'll heal Baris. I'll save him. I'll find a way.
38:03You tell me one thing.
38:07Do you believe me?
38:12In this life, you can only believe in yourself.
38:30I love you.
38:49I have a surprise for you.
38:51I know you don't like surprises, but I think you'll like it.
38:55I found the money.
38:57What?
38:59For the prosthesis.
39:01I talked to my mother.
39:03You can wear the prosthesis you want.
39:11You are a wonderful person.
39:13Thank you very much.
39:16But there is no need.
39:18I'll find a way to save Baris.
39:25Good night, Naz.
39:27Good night.
39:37How will we save him?
