Megyn Kelly spoke at a rally for U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in Washington D.C. on January 19, where she defended the concept of free speech, asserting that Americans have the right to offend and provoke. She pointed out actions like Facebook and McDonald's moving away from Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs. Kelly also made jokes at the expense of prominent public figures, including Jennifer Lopez, Oprah Winfrey, and Kamala Harris, solidifying her stance on the importance of free expression in America.

00:00God bless you for standing out there in that weather and all these hours to get in here tonight, today.
00:08As Stephen Miller said, we have 20 hours until our long national nightmare is over.
00:17We're almost there.
00:19By the way, Stephen Miller, if you like what Trump did at the border, you have that guy to thank in large part.
00:24That's the guy. He's the magic behind the man.
00:28And he's back, thank God.
00:30Him and Tom Homan together.
00:34The goodness, Scott Pressler, good to see you.
00:37The goodness that is about to rain down on us after Trump is inaugurated tomorrow is already starting.
00:43And I've got to tell you, I am so pumped up about it.
00:46Things are already happening in anticipation of Trump being sworn in.
00:50Like Facebook and McDonald's getting rid of their DEI programs.
00:59Good for you, McDonald's workers.
01:01Looking at you, Kamala Harris.
01:05Not really. Wasn't true.
01:08You've got universities from the University of Michigan to North Carolina to all the public universities in Iowa,
01:14all the public universities in Texas getting rid of DEI.
01:17You have got, yes, you've got a bill that passed the House this week, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.
01:25Yes.
01:28Now, it passed once before, but this time we control the Senate.
01:35We have a much better shot.
01:37Still have to get 60 votes to get a vote.
01:39We're looking good.
01:41You've got a judge who struck down Joe Biden's disgusting changes to Title IX, which has been stopped in its tracks,
01:48and it will be killed entirely, those changes, as soon as Trump gets in there.
01:51Have no doubt whatsoever.
01:54Good things are happening all around the country.
01:56Pete Hexeth was testifying this week that military recruiting is already going up in anticipation of their new commander in chief.
02:08The deal in Gaza, right before Trump takes office, as he said,
02:12if it's not done by the time I get there, all hell is going to break loose.
02:17The goodness just keeps on coming.
02:19I woke up this morning, I was two inches taller, a pound thinner, and I had skin like Jennifer Lopez.
02:24It's, I don't, that last one's not true.
02:28Okay, speaking of J-Lo, how happy are you that her candidate lost?
02:37It's so delightful.
02:39These Hollywood celebrities who get up there and try to tell us how to vote, really?
02:43I mean, like, those celebrities who know nothing about anything?
02:46All J-Lo knows about what to do is to ruin marriages.
02:49She's an expert at that.
02:51Why does she have to try to ruin the country, too?
02:54So, goodbye, J-Lo. It didn't work out for you.
02:57Goodbye, Meryl Streep, who showed up at that Oprah event saying,
03:01Oh, Madam President, to Kamala Harris. Madam President.
03:05How'd that work out?
03:07About as well as her comment that Harvey Weinstein was God.
03:12Maybe we should stop listening to her.
03:14Maybe we shouldn't be going to her for our political advice.
03:17And then you had Oprah herself.
03:19Oprah, she'll interview you if you pay her a million dollars, too.
03:24Yeah, it's a low, low fee of a million dollars to sit down with Oprah Winfrey, apparently.
03:27That's what the Harris campaign paid her production company, she says.
03:31And for that, you know what you get?
03:33You get Oprah yelling at you.
03:35Kamala Harris!
03:37Why are you doing that?
03:39Calm down, Madam.
03:42Didn't work out for her, either.
03:44But, of course, the fakest person involved on that side of the aisle was the woman at the top.
03:51Kamala Harris herself.
03:55Who pretended that she wasn't the Borders are.
03:58Who pretended that she was middle class.
04:01Who pretended that she was smart.
04:04And the American people did not buy it.
04:06Every time you turned around, this woman was doing something faker than the last.
04:11Right? Her fake Jamaican accent.
04:15Her fake Eastern European accent.
04:18Her fake Spanish accent.
04:21It was like spending a day at Joe Biden's southern border.
04:25Non-stop. Right?
04:27We gonna win.
04:30That's not how it went. Right?
04:33But my favorite was the preacher accent.
04:36Joy cometh in the morning.
04:41And she wasn't wrong about that.
04:43She came at about 1.22 a.m. on election night when the election was called for Donald J. Trump.
04:52I felt it.
04:56I've been thinking so much about Trump, especially today and this week.
05:00I know you have, too.
05:02Praying for him.
05:03Praying for his family.
05:05Thankful to them.
05:07I mean, think about it.
05:10You could be in Scotland.
05:14You could be at your golf courses.
05:16It's because he loves the country.
05:18And he wasn't done yet.
05:20And we're not done with him.
05:22So God bless him and the family for making this sacrifice and doing public service.
05:26Same with J.D. Vance and the cabinet members, all of whom need our prayers and support.
05:32But I'm also thinking of all of you.
05:35I'm thinking about you.
05:36I'm thinking about Americans who got us here.
05:40Because the things that Trump is accomplishing already, some of the things I mentioned in anticipation of him taking office,
05:47that ball got rolling, yes, with Trump, but also with regular American people who stood up here, there, and everywhere to make a difference in their own communities.
05:55I'm thinking about people like Jody Shaw.
05:58You probably don't know that name.
06:00But Jody Shaw was an administrative worker at Smith College.
06:04She didn't make a lot of money, single mom, two kids.
06:07And in late 2020, early 2021, she had had it with the DEI nonsense at Smith.
06:14So she made a Facebook video, and she posted it.
06:18And little Jody Smith, who is sweet and quiet and not one to shake the tree, said,
06:27I don't want to be forced to talk about my race at work anymore.
06:32I don't want to be told that I have implicit bias because I'm white.
06:38I don't want to have to enforce segregated dorms.
06:42Please stop making me do this.
06:45And Smith unleashed holy hell on her.
06:50Smith, this super tolerant college, made it, she alleged later, untenable for her to stay.
06:58She got forced out of her job.
07:01And I'm honestly not sure whether Jody's fully recovered.
07:06So she got hurt, and she got hurt for all of you and for us and for the rest who are at Smith.
07:13She's a hero.
07:15Jody Smith is a genuine hero for doing this.
07:19But it wasn't just Jody.
07:20I mean, I'm thinking about people like Andrew Gutman, who had a daughter at a posh school
07:25on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and pulled her, but he didn't go quietly.
07:29He wrote a scathing letter, ripping them to shreds for what they're doing to us with this race essentialism nonsense.
07:35He went out with a bang, and he made sure other parents knew what the problem was.
07:40Jason Riley of the Wall Street Journal, you may see him on Fox News sometimes,
07:43and his wife, Naomi Schaefer Riley, who pulled their mixed-race daughters from a school in Rye, New York,
07:50and made a point of doing it because that school thought that their mixed-race daughters
07:55were desperate to talk about their blackness all the time,
07:58and they found out the hard way those kids really just wanted to learn math.
08:03These battles are being won piece by piece, one at a time, and there are so many others.
08:10I'm thinking about the 14-year-old girls in Wisconsin
08:13who had an 18-year-old guy come in there naked into their showers after gym.
08:18I'm thinking about the young woman in Massachusetts who just wanted to play field hockey
08:22and suddenly got all of her teeth knocked out because a boy played for the other team posing as a girl.
08:27How do we know about these stories? Because people were outraged.
08:31Citizens went to the news. They went to their principals.
08:33Girls spoke out one by one and got the ball rolling on change, and change is coming.
08:44All of you wearing the MAGA hats, it used to be an act of civil disobedience, right?
08:52Yes, sir, defiance of a registered order that didn't want to hear from you.
08:58But wearing that hat for much of the past eight years has been an act of courage, too.
09:03And I know, I know just because you're here that you had your moments in your own communities,
09:08whether it was online or at the bowling alley or at the restaurant or at school
09:13where you stood up for one of these same issues,
09:16where you had to tell somebody you didn't want to be reduced to skin color,
09:20where you said, I prefer the days when we didn't make a thing out of that,
09:23where you had to tell somebody that boys cannot become girls and girls cannot become boys.
09:29Those battles, one after the other, have been fought,
09:33and this anti-DEI momentum has been built brick by brick thanks to all of you.
09:41And you who listened to Donald Trump, who, when a reporter asked him at a presidential debate in 2015
09:50about some of the language he used, responded by saying,
09:55what I say is what I say, and if you don't like it, too bad.
10:03That was more than just a quick combat.
10:06That was a reminder of what America is.
10:10In America, we have the right of free speech.
10:12We have the right to offend, to provoke, to annoy,
10:18and to stand up for what we believe in, even if you find it controversial.
10:21We have the right not to use the words you try to force on us,
10:24like your preferred pronouns or words like anti-racist or chest-feeding.
10:30We are reminded of that daily by President Trump, who would never bow to the woke mob.
10:35Just ask Brett Kavanaugh, who will be swearing in J.D. Vance tomorrow
10:40as he, Kavanaugh, sits in his robes as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
10:47So I thank all of you for being part of the Trump movement
10:51and for bringing these changes upon us
10:53and for bringing Donald Trump back into the office.
10:56And a reminder before I go, stay strong.
11:01We haven't won the war.
11:03We're winning.
11:04We've won a bunch of battles.
11:06But he's going to need all of you every step of the way.
11:09We're going to have to be patient.
11:11We're going to have to steal our spines.
11:13Do not bend.
11:15Never bow.
11:17What I say is what I say.
11:21God bless you.
11:22God bless President Trump.
11:24God bless the United States of America.
11:28Don't miss out.
