00:00Legends. Holy Trinity.
00:02For me, he's always been one of the big strikers and he's a great player.
00:06Dennis Law, an absolute legend in this club.
00:13It was really saddening because I've gone through an era where I saw him play with Bestia and Charlton.
00:19I was here at Main Road when he backheeled it for City between Stepney's legs and relegated United at the time.
00:24It's a massive loss and actually how fans look at him, all the generation look at the players of today.
00:31I think that's a bare example they should be following.
00:34I was born and raised in Aberdeen and up in Aberdeen he's not known as the King, he's not known as Dennis the Menace or the Lawman.
00:42He's simply known as Dennis to everyone.
00:45A big loss to the city, you know. He was an icon of the city, probably the most famous person ever to come out of Aberdeen.
00:53So devastated, but you have to say he's now in peace.
00:57And all people should have sent us down in 1974 or 1975, but we were already down.
01:02So we can forget about all that. We forgive you for that, Dennis.
01:05Well, Dennis on the pitch was probably the quickest striker in the walks I've ever seen.
01:12He struck like a viper, you know.
01:15He needed no time. He used his head, he used his backheel as we famously saw.
01:22He used both feet. An absolutely wonderful striker, supported by wonderful players as well.
01:29He was just always there to actually support the players.
01:32I mean, obviously Besty, he'd give him a kick up the a** at times when Besty wasn't doing his job.
01:37And we know what George was like.
01:39But that group of players, you know, the generation today, haven't seen anything unless they've watched them play.
