00:00I think they're all good performances against a fantastic Liverpool team that I think is the best team in the Premier League, of course.
00:15They're number one, so I don't think that's a surprise for anyone, but probably also the best team in the world.
00:21We just played against City and Arsenal and now Liverpool in short succession.
00:28I think they are a level above the two others right now, more complete in all phases of the game.
00:39Very good, exceptionally good.
00:43That said, I think actually we did well. I thought we competed well throughout the game.
00:47I thought we defended extremely well.
00:51Gave very few huge big chances away.
00:58I think it's a perfect example of where they are, Liverpool.
01:04I think 0-0, you can't say that would have been unfair, but if Liverpool won 1-0,
01:10you probably can't argue that they caused them more of the ball and more opportunities than us.
01:16I think we had a fair few, but the way the final one dropped for them, we blocked the shot.
01:22It dropped an inch perfect, so Trent can put it back to Nunes and then he scores.
01:29If he needs to take a touch, then maybe we adjust a bit and then we are there to do the block.
01:33It's a perfect example of where Liverpool are right now in terms of it.
01:38They are exceptionally good, so they didn't win because of a ball that dropped for them,
01:42but it's also going their way, which is well deserved.
01:46They worked very hard, Liverpool, today.
01:49A good example is Van Dijk chasing Brian Umbermo back over 50-60 yards.
01:54I think offensively we created quite a few good opportunities,
01:58but maybe lacked the final quality, sharpness, touch, whatever.
02:04Plus, I think they defended well, Liverpool, especially Gronaerts and Van Dijk.
02:09How impressed were you with your team's ability to go again after such an energetic display?
02:15Very impressed. I think the energy and intensity we showed throughout the game was very good.
02:20I thought we were very brave when we tried to get out of Liverpool's press.
02:23I think phase one was good and we got out of good situations.
02:27We were actually good at running at Liverpool quite a few times.
02:31We just needed one of those situations to be a big chance.
02:35I think potentially we got the biggest chance to Damsgaard,
02:38where we missed it after 50 minutes because he doesn't have a touch.
02:42It's like this, then it's goal. Who knows?
02:47The word on Stefan Van Vogt and Nathan Collins, that partnership really seems to be growing.
02:51Yes, I think that looks promising and good.
02:55I think both of them did very well today.
02:59It was really pleasing to see.
03:01One player really caught my eye as well was Jamo.
03:04He put touches in tight spaces. He was really impressive today.
03:09Yes, I think we needed Jamo's energy today and intensity.
03:13But also the way he got out of tight situations and the way he moved the ball was very good.
03:22Liverpool brought on two very different forwards.
03:25They had Chiesa and Darwin Nunes.
03:28What's the challenge when you're in that situation?
03:30To suddenly adjust to that variation or different qualities?
03:36Yes, of course it's a challenge.
03:38I think DS is drifting more to the side sometimes,
03:41where Nunes is always a threat in the box.
03:44So they probably needed that.
03:50I don't think it's different, of course, but the players will just adjust.
03:55We always expect a striker in there.
03:57Chiesa, of course, still came more to the side.
04:04I think we handled it well for 90 minutes, except the last four.
04:09Thomas, what did you think of Liverpool from a physical point of view today?
04:12Because they were at toe-to-toe with you in terms of the drills in midfield
04:16more so than most teams do, I think.
04:19I think they physically are outstanding.
04:24If you look at their players, the way they are through the middle,
04:30when they have supports like Ravensburg.
04:34I think McAllister is a football player, but he can still move his feet.
04:38Gagpo to the side.
04:43Of course, the two centre-backs, Gonardo, Van Dijk, Salah and Diaz,
04:47all are runners.
04:48Semi-cars, Robertson or Trent, they are just...
04:53Technically, tactically, they're very good individually as players,
04:57and then they got to physicality more or less all over the pitch.
05:01OK, anything else?
05:03We'll leave it at that. Thank you very much, everybody.
