00:00Police killed three men in a shootout in Rawang, crippling a syndicate involved in theft of

00:20He said the officers tried to stop the suspects and introduce themselves, but instead, the
00:25suspects opened fire.
00:27He said a chase ensued for about 750 meters in Kota Emerald Township, and when the suspects
00:33were cornered, they shot at the officers which forced them to fire back, subsequently killing
00:39the trio.
00:40The shootout happened along Persiar and Kota Emerald.
00:44Police said the group of thieves would use rental cars with fake number plates to carry
00:48out vehicle thefts.
00:50They believe that the suspects were trying to perform another theft when police officers
00:54caught up with them.
00:56The suspects had already stolen 17 vehicles this year.
00:59Two of the suspects have been identified and are aged 40 and 43, while the third suspect
01:06did not have any identification documents.
01:09Police seized a semi-automatic pistol, two masks, five number plates, a gadget used to
01:15deactivate vehicle arms and two machetes.
