Recap of Brechin City 1 Hearts 4 as Premiership side survive a scare to eventually ease into next round
Transcript
00:00Well that was fairly straightforward for hearts here at Glebe Park. As they beat
00:08Brecon City 4-1 having lost the first goal. An absolute stunning strike from
00:16Scott Bright who had replaced Euan Spark. Yep Bright for Spark. That really did
00:24happen. In the first half Spark the skipper injured himself in a rather
00:29crude challenge on Elton Gabangu on the near touchline and the teenager came on
00:37to replace him. Hearts might argue that Spark should have been sent off for the
00:41challenge rather than just booked. He nevertheless had to leave the pitch
00:47anyway to get his shoulder seen to. Bright came on and a few minutes later
00:53had lashed home from 25 yards past Scotland number one Craig Gordon. Quite
00:59an introduction and we did think for a few minutes we might be covering a shock
01:05here. Didn't happen. Hearts equalised through Danda before half-time and then
01:13scored three more goals in the second half. Gabangu was particularly
01:17impressive. He notched a double his first goals for the club. But enjoyable first
01:22Scottish Cup tie of the weekend. Plenty more to come. You can read all about
01:27them on Scotsman.com. I'm Alan Patullo and I'm about to leave Glebe Park and
01:35always an enjoyable trip here. Always enjoy it. As you can see the hedge
01:39looking very splendid behind me and wish Brecon City good luck for the rest of
01:47their season and their attempts to return to the SPFL from the Highland
01:52League. Hearts meanwhile can look forward to a fifth round appearance with
02:01the draw to come following the rest of the weekend's games.
02:05Enjoy the football coming up.
