00:00From the Philippine News Agency, President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. wanted to return the funds for foreign-assisted projects
00:09under the Department of Public Works and Highways,
00:12following a reduction in their 2025 national budget.
00:16In a hearing in Malacanang, the President discussed the funds of DPWH under the 2025 General Appropriations Act.
00:26The President also confirmed that the agency's funds are in place.
00:30According to the President, they asked for only Php 70 billion and Php 23 billion,
00:36given by the Congress,
00:38as part of the reduction in the payment of the right of way,
00:41obligation to the Contract 12, Buwis, and others.
00:46The President also emphasized that these projects are important
00:50in improving the lives of Filipinos.
