00:00All right, our weekly look, the best and the worst in the NHL.
00:04We'll do the Moneyline first.
00:06The Capitals, still 12.1 units taking it to the window.
00:12The Canadians, Blue Jackets, Jets, and Ducks.
00:14I'm at the Ducks.
00:15They're 18 and 26.
00:17But because some of those wins have been plus 200, plus 300,
00:21et cetera, plus 5.7 units for the Ducks this year,
00:26if you've played them on the Moneyline, the worst,
00:28the Predators, 17.3.
00:32That is just about eight units more than everyone else.
00:34Sabres, Islanders, Canucks, and Rangers that are on that list.
00:37The Predators won last night at home.
00:39And the only teams I have faith in there on the Moneyline
00:43winning side is the Caps, the Jackets, and the Jets.
00:45The Jackets, as we like to call them, the sports jackets,
00:49they're 15 and 5 at home.
00:52And then they won again last night at home.
00:54All they do is win at home.
00:56And then as far as the worst teams, I think all of those,
01:00I don't think the Canucks are as bad as everybody thinks they are.
01:03They're five games over.
01:04Let's see if they win tonight against LA.
01:06Tough game with LA at Rogers in Vancouver tonight.
01:10I think the Rangers are, frankly, I bet on the other night in Colorado,
01:15they had the 2-1 lead.
01:16They blew it.
01:16They lose 3-2 in overtime.
01:18So they lost their little mini win streak.
01:20I think the Rangers are seeing some light at the end of the tunnel, Mike,
01:24that they're starting to turn it around a little bit.
01:27My guess is the Rangers do much better the rest of January.
01:31And then in February, they take off.
01:34Did you see the Columbus jerseys for the stadium series
01:38game that they're playing with Detroit?
01:40I will have to effort those for you tomorrow.
01:43They actually look pretty sharp.
01:44I didn't even realize.
01:45This is how overblown they are with the outdoor games.
01:47I didn't realize Columbus was hosting Detroit in an outdoor game
01:52the first week of March at the Buckeyes house at Ohio Stadium.
01:56So I will give you those tomorrow.
01:58I thought they were pretty good.
01:58I hate that place.
01:59Speaking of blues, I know you do.
02:01Blue Jackets are the best over team in the NHL, 29-14 and 1 to the up,
02:06along with the Sabres, Penguins, Islanders, and Canuts.
02:09As far as the downside, the Devils, 30-14 and 2 to the under,
02:14not allowing anything, the New Jersey Devils.
02:18Well, there you go.
02:19The Devils are tough.
02:21But if you look at those teams on the best over teams,
02:25it's because, really, the Sabres, Penguins, and Islanders all suck.
02:29That's why they're on that list.
02:31They get lit up every night.
02:34They get lit up every single night.
02:36All right, Eastern Conference for the NHL, Hurricanes and Panthers,
02:40plus 375 at the top.
02:43Devils, then Leafs, Caps, Lightning, Bruins, Rangers.
02:46Caps, I believe, have the most points in these right now.
02:49But they are down in the 7-1 range.
02:52You know, the way they play, they are so tough.
02:56The Capitals at 7-1 right now are delicious.
02:59What is that Ranger number still?
03:01It's 12-1.
03:0220.
03:0320 for the Rangers.
03:06You know, I know that's-
03:07I think they're going to turn it around and be there in March and April.
03:10I do.
03:12I know they've struggled.
03:13But if they got in, they went to the East Finals last year.
03:17They have the goalie that could do it.
03:19They've got guys with playoff experience.
03:22They'd be dangerous if they get into the tournament.
03:25I'm not just handing floor to anything.
03:27I think they've been kind of average.
