00:00Good afternoon Sadler's fans, I'm at Essington where I've just spoke to Matt Sadler, head
00:06of Walsall's clash against MK Dons at Beskott on Saturday. And last weekend, Walsall set
00:13a club record eight match winning streak in the league with a 5-1 thumping of Tramier
00:19Rovers at Beskott. So they have an opportunity to extend that historic run on the weekend
00:28and of course try to strengthen their grip on top spot and they hold a 12 point lead
00:35as it stands and a 14 point gap between themselves and fourth place Port Vale. Freddie Draper
00:44was linked yesterday with a potential return to Walsall, unfortunately as expected really
00:52there was not a great deal added on to that. Matt Sadler reflected on what was a very bright
00:58spell last season on loan where he scored 10 goals but really the response from the
01:06Walsall boss was no comment. But as search goes on he talks about having plans in place
01:13and a list drawn up prior to Lo's recall so that the club were prepared. They have a list
01:19of targets, players they're interested in but Matt Sadler, as he said the other day,
01:24does not want to settle just because it's a player that he can bring in. They've got
01:29clear targets in mind and those will be the ones they bring in when the opportunity arises
01:34to do so. Elsewhere, Donovan Daniels will be ruled out for the game. He picked up a
01:43calf injury and had to come off in the 23rd minute in the 4-2 defeat at Peterborough
01:48in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night. He'll undergo a scan next week but there's no timeframe
01:55set on that one at the moment. There was also an update on Priestley Farquharson. His injury
02:01is healing as they would have hoped but he's still another couple of months away. Ronan
02:07Mayer is now fit for selection, at least on the bench. He was obviously an unused substitute
02:14against Peterborough in mid-week. Josh Gordon came off the bench against Peterborough at
02:21London Road and scored a late consolation to mark his return from a four-month absence
02:26following his hamstring injury which he picked up in August. He's back in the mix now. Unclear
02:33whether there will be any new arrivals prior to Saturday's game. If not, it'll be an opportunity
02:39for Danny Johnson, Albert Adoma or possibly Josh Gordon to stake a claim
02:46as Walsall start life without Nathan Lowe.
