00:04I don't really think anywhere is safe enough to be quite honest.

00:07Do you think that they're safe enough in terms of the actual playground, the physical playground?

00:12The actual playground probably is, you know, but all you hear in this day and age is bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, you know,

00:20and nobody seems to really do much about things.

00:24Do you think Sheffield's playgrounds are safe enough these days?

00:27No.

00:29I just don't. Unless they go with the parents, then yeah.

00:34But otherwise, no, I don't think so.

00:37There's too many older kids, I would say, that are on there doing things they shouldn't be doing.

00:44What about the actual playgrounds themselves in terms of the structure and things like that?

00:48Yeah, I think they're alright when I take my parents for a walk.

00:52Do you think Sheffield's playgrounds are safe enough these days?

00:55I do. I think they are much improved from when my children were little.

01:00I used to see quite a few accidents, but now I really do think they're improved.

01:05They haven't done a lot to improve them then since they were little?

01:08They have, although I know that, I mean, the playground at Forgedham, I know they've been raising money to improve those,

01:15which they have, but there's still more to be done. Yeah, so always more to be done.

01:23Do you think Sheffield's playgrounds are safe enough these days?

01:27I think if kids went on their own, no, depending on certain areas.

01:37But if they went with the parents, yeah, they are on there, but I don't think they are safe after certain times.

01:48Do you think the actual playgrounds themselves physically are safe enough?

01:52Yeah, I don't. Mainly in daylight, things seem trapping, nocturnal, when it grows dark.

02:03So in terms of the actual equipment and stuff like that, that's all safe enough?

02:06Yeah, safe, yeah.

02:09Could you tell me please if you think Sheffield's playgrounds are safe enough these days?

02:13I think so, yeah. It depends where you are in the city, I think that's the problem, really.

02:18I think if you're on the west side of it, you're probably a lot safer than on the east side of it,

02:23and it's all about deprivation and stuff, isn't it?

02:25But I think for the most part, they seem to be, at least in my area, safe enough.

02:29In terms of the actual physical playgrounds and the equipment and stuff?

02:32The physical playgrounds? I'd say so. I mean, a lot of them have been updated.

02:36They've now got the rubberised tarmac and stuff in it, so I'd say that's probably safe enough.

02:41And I think we're getting a lot more money locally to come in to update these spaces as well,

02:45so we're a lot more safer than we were when I was a little kid, at least.
