00:44Ok, first I will start
00:46Your name please?
00:48Wangmo Dixie
00:50From which state you came here?
00:52I come from California, from Berkeley, California
00:55Why do you choose this Buddhism religion?
00:59Why do I choose?
01:01I was born as a Buddhist
01:03so I guess maybe karmically I chose Buddhist
01:07but Buddhism is an incredible universal message of world peace
01:13and when we find inner peace
01:16then we can send a message to the entire communities in our world
01:21that there is something that belongs within each of us
01:24it's called Buddha
01:25and that means peace
01:27so if we can find the Buddha in each of us
01:30how incredible would that be
01:32to go into our interior life
01:35and to understand what the teachings of the Buddha left us
01:39the Dhamma
01:40and today we see so many different lineages of the Sangha
01:44we have the Theravada Sangha
01:46we have also some representatives from the Mahayana and Vajrayana
01:51now that is very unique about this place in Udagiri
01:55because all three assembled here
01:58and they all flourished from this place
02:00and of course we're linking to King Ashoka
02:03of course finally
02:05who as you know is one of the great great masters
02:13who could transform and bring the Dharma to India, to Aryadesh
02:18so here we are in the 21st century
02:20and we're bringing Buddhist monks from 17 countries
02:24Guru Padmasambhava is known as the second Buddha
02:27and so we have been reciting Guru Rinpoche's prayers for world peace
02:33and also beginning to introduce who is Guru Padmasambhava
02:37and so this secret
02:39this best kept secret in Odisha
02:42is now open
02:44because so many people are sending the message
02:47that they're here with the Guru Padmasambhava ceremony
02:51so this will happen every year
02:53annually
02:55and more and more will come
02:57in Bodhgaya we started something about 36 years ago
03:01with just 500 monks
03:03and now more than 30-40,000 people come every year
03:06there's an international airport
03:08so many things come up when there are international tourists
03:11can you tell me something about Guru Padmasambhava
03:14special
03:15special he was the master of all Siddhis
03:18so he was just an incredible teacher of Vajrayana
03:23and so we are so grateful to be on the soil
03:27where he taught these Vajrayana teachings
03:30where many of these people here
03:32they follow in the path of the Vajrayana
03:35so Guru Padmasambhava was also very significant
03:39because he brought those teachings from here to Tibet
03:42and then it spread to all the Himalayas
03:44so we're returning back to India
03:47this is the motherland of all spirituality
03:50this is the motherland of also Guru Padmasambhava
03:53so we are so delighted
03:55that this Guru Padmasambhava is actually here in India
03:59and it spread from here to the Himalayas
